• I would not stay there again.
• No hair dryer in room. Old fabrics/smell. Staff was not familiar with local area.

“Old, in need of redo. Room had coffee pot but no hair dryer. I called and was told there was only one person working so I could use a hair dryer if I would come and get it.”

• Exterior light shines through the thin curtains. Air conditioner is rather noisy.

• The breakfast bar was adequate.
• Things were dated and not in good repair. No safety features in the bathroom, noisy, phone not working.

“We were unhappy with the hotel. It was in disrepair, noisy, dangerously unprepared for seniors. No bathroom safety features and a phone that did not work. Fortunately we have a cell phone which we had to use to call the front desk to break-up a fight in the room above us. It was frightening. When told about the condition of the room, we were told that we should have asked for an updated or better room when we saw that it had not yet been refurbished. That should have done upon arrival on our part.”

• It was one of the worst motels ever.
• Roaches, dirty beds with pubic hair and bugs. No joke! Nice but unprofessional staff. Dilapidated furnishings. Crime looking area.

“Not just at the room they send you too so as to hide the truth, but pick a few at random and you'll see I'm not kidding. Thanks for sending the survey. I needed to vent after that experience!”

• Non-smoking room had an overwhelming haze of smoke.

“Guest House Inn & Suites staff members were friendly and helpful. However, the room/common areas were rather disappointing. Most offensive was the condition of the room. When a customer requests a "non-smoking" room, that room, as well as rooms adjacent to it should in fact be "non-smoking". Not only was it difficult to sleep, but all my clothing required a thorough spraying of Febreze to rid them of the cigarette odor. In addition, as a woman traveling alone, I was less than impressed with being sent to the rear of the hotel where there was extremely poor lighting.”

• Nice room and friendly staff.
• Wireless internet did not work.

“This was a good hotel for the money. It was the least expensive in Lake County and turned out to be a great stay. The neighborhood was a little questionable, however. It is always disappointing when someone promises internet and it does not work.”

• Pool nice but didn't use it.
• Parking, breakfast, cleanliness, supplies.

“I will never go there again. I had to park fare away because it was not equipped with enough parking. My children and I had to walk in the rain a distance to get to the room. The only space left was fire lane or handicap ramp. I was glad I wasn't towed away. Food was stale and bland. Not a big selection but my children needed to eat. Room was not very clean stuff in it I didn't even know what was and there was one small bottle of conditioner and a bar of soap. The water wouldn't stay in the tub due to being broken. Door to the fridge scraped the floor and you could hardly open it and freezer was built up with ice. ”

• The bed was comfortable, sheets fresh and clean and the pool area beautifully landscaped.
• Sounds from outside the room traveled easily inside.

“A nice resting place for couples or families with an easily accessed location and clean, comfortable rooms.”

• Convenience to locations we wanted to visit and had restaurants, etc. close by and stores needed. All people were friendly and courteous.
• Water pipeline broke, had to be moved. Pool was very dirty. Did get a $10 refund back.

“From the beginning, employees at desk and other areas were very friendly and courteous. Housekeeping was quick response after our move to another room giving us necessities needed. The breakfast room was very nice and items tasty. We were visiting 2 areas and it was helpful getting directions, etc from staff. Would stay there again, if pool upkeep is constant and pool doesn't get dirty as is was and could not swim.”

• it was easy to find & the rooms are nice sized. room fridges are nice.
• The carpet was filthy (the soles of our feet were black two minutes after our shower) & overall run down hotel!

“I really thought guest house had standards each motel chain had to live up to. this was once a shoney's inn and it more run down now than before. Guesthouse apparently has not checked this place out lately. The breakfast is hot waffles, packaged grits, two kinds of juice, English muffins, bagles, a few whole red apples, a few whole oranges, some crappy doughnuts & that is it. For the $$ at $50 a night it is not bad but there are some ma & pop shops that might be better but we went with name brand and were terribly upset with what the place was not! The pool area is nice”
