• Location was good.
• Parking is woefully inadequate.

“The location was very good. We were close to everything we wanted. The revolving restaurant is fun and unique, and does offer a very nice view of the lake. At first glance the room seemed fine. However, the bathroom was terribly maintained. The shower head barely worked, and we even had trouble with turning on the tub faucet. I was pleased that there was free Wi-Fi. But overall, I didn't feel the accommodations were any nicer than your average Super 8. The staff were very kind and helpful. We really appreciated the shuttle driver. He was very good at pointing out local attractions, and the service is a very nice amenity. However, that is not enough to make up for the lack of room maintenance. I am very unlikely to stay in this hotel again.”

• Parking was a nightmare.

“Overflow parking was needed but wasn't giving the info until after driving around the parking lot 5 or 6 times. After finally checking in is when we were giving the information on the overflow parking. Even then the overflow parking directions were not clear.”

• Duluth is a favorite weekend getaway for us because of outdoor activities. This hotel is in Duluth.
• The annex rooms do not have sleep number beds and the carpeting is in poor condition.

“The Radisson could use some updates. In particular, the elevators are slow, creaky, and a bit scary. Our room was in the annex section, not the tower. The bathroom was clean and functional, but the carpet caused us to put our shoes on when we walked about the room. The mattress was saggy; no sleep number beds in this part of the hotel, apparently. On the plus side, there was a microwave and a small refrigerator in the room. The room was quiet, except for noise from the hall. At night, we could see quite well in the room due to the light that was pouring in from the hall around the ill-fitting door. The pool area was poorly supervised; two boys were throwing deck chairs into the pool when we tried to use it.”

• The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean.
• The pool area needs some updating. The edging around the pool needs to be fixed.

“The room was very nice and clean. A little small because it was pie shaped but for most people it would fine. The staff was amazing when I checked it I found out that they had booked a single bed in our room. The staff person immediately changed our room for us. I would definitely stay at this hotel again especially at the great price I got on Priceline.”

• First room had not been cleaned, changed rooms.

“The hotel does not meet the standard of a Radisson brand hotel. It is dirty, musty smelling, and not updated in quite some time. The first room I was assigned had not been cleaned. They switched me to a new room and it was barely acceptable in terms of cleanliness. I travel regularly for business and this ranks in the bottom 10% in my experience.”

• Good location.
• There was limited electrical outlets, the walls were thin, and it was noisy.

“Housekeeping staff was excellent, room was clean, hotel is located close to freeway access, and to local attractions. Check in/out staff was friendly and efficient. Had to retrieve free newspaper from front desk.”

• We had to request a second chair and I did not like the mattress.

“It was a fun place to stay. We had a great view of the Duluth Harbor. It was unique and fun. We enjoyed our breakfast in the rotating restaurant.”

• The staff at the front desk and restaurant was very helpful.
• The common areas needed carpet, paint, etc.

“I thought the room was very nice and comfortable, the common areas needed a good sprucing but the help / service was top notch. One young man I had asked if we needed reservations for dinner at a place away from the hotel. He told me he would make reservations for us and we got in the shuttle to dinner. That was a nice perk as well.”

• The location was good for access to the Duluth downtown area.
• It seemed run-down and in disrepair. i.e. the pool was visibly dirty, fixtures were broken, etc.

“This hotel did not match its star rating. It was a hotel that in its prime might have been nice, but those days are past. It needs basic maintenance in many different areas. The air conditioner in the room was minimally adequate. The room did have sleep number beds, but I personally didn't find it comfortable. I would have preferred a regular mattress. The pool did not match the photo on-line. The pool area was drab and the pool was visibly dirty. The restaurant's revolving view of Duluth was interesting, but the food was nothing special. Free Internet access in the room is nice, but that is pretty standard for moderate hotels these days. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel and will not stay there again. I thought that Radisson hotels were supposed to be upscale. This one certainly was not.”
