• It is very convenient.
• Extra charge for using facility and breakfast.

“The location of the hotel is very convenient to go to anywhere in Orlando (about 15 minutes from the airport and no more than 25 min to Disney and 10 min to Seaworld). Service is good and helpful.”

• I like the beds in the room, and the lobby is very attractive.
• The hour of the restaurant.

“I really enjoyed my stay at the Barcelo, I enjoyed the sleep number bed which was very comfortable for my husband and I back, the breakfast was good, the only things I wish that the restaurant stayed open later than it did, my husband came in late he was a over the road truck driver and everything was closed.”

• The staff were very accommodating and friendly.
• The 'Do not disturb' sign was on the door and they entered anyway.

“After getting the room was frightened of what I had gotten but when we stayed there is was nice. The grounds were beautiful and the location was excellent.”

• Two classes of rooms and accommodations.

“While the overall hotel was OK there where two sets of buildings a new remodel wing and a crap wing I was never told about the either until I meet some friends and went to there new rooms for same price as mine a crap room I due not believe I was given the proper information when I uses this service to book this room.”

• Had great coffee service in the morning and business center.
• Lower floor was loud and people slamming doors not so clean.

“Overall, not being in the room much it was ok. The first day my bathroom was not very clean. Floor was sticky. Loud noises and cars leaving at all hours. I will request inside room next time.”

• Pool area was very enjoyable.
• Elevator and stair areas were dingy, dirty, and a little scary.

“This hotel served our needs perfectly as we needed a day of relaxation before we hit the theme parks. The lobby and grounds were well-cared for and attractive. The room was clean and comfortable. The pool area was pleasant. Some of the public halls and stairways were a little worn and unkept, but they seemed to be working on freshening things up during the time we were there. This hotel met our requirements in a pleasant atmosphere and location. I'd recommend it.”

• Convenient location to Disney.
• Not very clean.

“Besides hair event, workers ran the power washers early in the morning outside doors to clean walks. Most occupants had been at Disney until 2 am that day, so it was not very customer friendly.”

“They have the inside and outside rooms. Quality of the inside ones are much better. The other thing was that you had to pay resort fees, whether you used them or not.”

• Hot water supply intermittent.

“This is an unbelievable bad hotel. Strongly recommend against staying in this place by anyone. We stayed there (two rooms) for three days. The second day water supply was intermittent. The 3rd day, there was no hot water at all. We couldn't even take a shower.”

• Room needs some update.

“Hotel has a very good lobby area but quite shabby in the rooms for guests. Outdated room accessories. But for the price, there is nothing to complain.”

• We get a very good upgrade for a reasonable price with all the comfort we wanted.
• The way you offered the hotel and we expected to get a least two beds.

“If you take an upgrade in this hotel you get a room with sleeping number beds, spacey room and internet access. Otherwise you have to stay in the old (former Barceló hotel) without any comfort. But you can use the YMCA unit for free, what is a great deal.”

• It was close to universal.
• The room was dirty.

“The beds were uncomfortable. There was only a game controller to use as the remote for the 15" TV. There was an issue with another guest and when I returned to my room the first evening at about 11pm the police were there. It was dirty, uncomfortable and not worth more than $20 a night. I was disappointed that I paid $35 a night for this hotel. Thank goodness I only had to stay there for two nights and was not there for most of the day.”

• Lousy room location.

“My room was located across from the elevator and the loud conversations, banging etc. all night kept my wife and me awake. My phone calls to the front desk did no good as they wouldn't move us. My conversation at check-out fell on deft ears. No help or compensation was offered.”

• The room in the old building can only be rated as 1 star.

“The hotel actually has 2 buildings. The room smells badly. It cannot be rated as 2 and half star. The front desk refused to change my room to the new building unless I would pay extra $30+ per night. I was very disappointed about the hotel.”

• I liked the fact that we were primarily there only to sleep.
• I found live silverfish on the countertop and in a vanity drawer.

• It was a place to sleep.
• So many things!

“We got the older part. We walked in and there was a funny smell. There was a big ball of fuzz or something in the bed when we turned back the covers. We got there at 2 am and really needed to sleep or else I would have had my husband complain. Then when I woke up there was something else in the bed. It could have been a bed bug.”

• Lobby was nicely decorated.
• Bugs on every surface of room except bed & shower.

“Lobby & entrance nice, but if you looked close it was quite dirty. Common areas were very dirty; you could tell this was probably a nice place 20 years ago, but has not been kept up. There were small bugs on every surface of our room, but I didn't call to complain because we didn't notice until we were unpacked and it was not worth it to change rooms since we checked-in quite late and were leaving quite early in the morning. I made a deal with my husband that I would only call if there were bugs in the bed, which there were not. The linens were clean but ripped, cut & burnt in spots. The carpet was much stained and the walls were dirty. The movie options on the TV didn't work. When you checkout, there is a $3.50 "resort fee" that I wasn't aware of.”
