• Walking distance to the beach.
• Could feel smoke in the room.

“The room was non-smoking; however other rooms on the same level were smoking and so the smoke could be felt in our room too. I would not stay in such a hotel again.”

• Clean and new looking.
• Beach is not easy to walk to from hotel.

“Very new and well kept. Not next to the beach but really easy access to Del Mar Race Track.”

• Friendly staff. Location is great within walking distance to beach and good restaurants.
• View out my window of rental car building roof. There was a balcony but the view was poor.

“The room was clean and quite. The pool area looked nice but I did not use it. I like the location because you can walk to dine and beach. View was poor but I would consider visiting again with my husband for a weekend getaway.”

• Close to the race track.
• Ordered a private balcony, room looked right out to the pool, everyone in our window!

“The only thing I was very disappointed with was that we could not open our windows due to the fact we were right at the pool, no balcony as requested. Front desk didn't help. I have stayed there in the past several times.”

• Close to beaches, nice pillow tops & pillows.
• Sticky carpet in rooms.

“10 minute walk to beach was nice. Although the sand area to stand was not much. Mostly the tide came in right where we were standing--maybe 5ft space to side of hill was where someone could stand without getting the waves. So sand play not practical, but standing in the water with young kids fun.”

• Comfortable beds.
• Sofa bed with dirty laundry still on it.

“This was a major disappointment. Imagine unfolding the sofa bed to find dirty linens from a previous guest! The toilet overflowed at 7 am and we were told that we'd have to come to the front desk and get the plunger and fix it ourselves since housekeeping did not start working until 9am. The front desk was even annoyed when we asked for additional towels to clean up the mess on the floor. We did not want to stay a second night but since we had paid for it, we were stuck.”

• The location, it's close to the beach, and the balcony.
• The continental breakfast was terrible. The coffee was like water.

“This hotel was o.k., It wasn't great. It's better than a lot of best westerns I've stayed at. The rooms were clean and comfortable.”

• No cups in room, no towels at swimming pool; jacuzzi not working

“A pleasant place. Not especially fancy but it had all the basics, including free breakfast; irons, coffee maker, refrigerator, hairdryer in the room.”
