• Very knowledgeable staff, easy to communicate with.
• Air conditioner in room sounded sickly and would not stay on.

“If you want to be near downtown Athens, this hotel is very handy. Also, The Varsity is across the street, so you know you'll have a place to eat! It's a little difficult to find the entrance and parking is a little tight, but once there, you'll find the hotel staff friendly and knowledgeable about Athens. The rooms are old but clean; our only complaint was an air conditioner that never really stayed on. Luckily, it was early spring and not too hot yet.”

• Easy access to/from main roads; good continental breakfast; good location.
• Nothing.

“Hotel is in an excellent location to Downtown with easy access to/from main roads. Nice area and ample parking. Good selection for breakfast although room was small. Hotel room was adequate, clean, and serviced well. Staff friendly.”

• Breakfast was nice enough and room was clean.
• The new carpet had a very wired smell.

“The hotel reminded me of "motels" I stayed in as a kid in the 70's. They tried to update it with new carpet and decor, but the way the hotel is set up with the door to your room right next to the parking lot makes it very noisy. You have to go to a separate building for the breakfast and it was very cold outside.”

• The room was clean and the staff were friendly.
• The breakfast room was too small.

“This hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly. The breakfast dining area was very small and taken up by the hotel cleaning staff with very few seats for actual guests. The only other bad point was the way the housekeepers had to throw their dirty laundry and trash from the second floor down to the first floor which is more of a problem with the hotel design and build than of the staff. I would recommend this hotel and will stay there again if I am in the area.”

• Convenient location and price.
• The room was malodorous and it felt a tad unsafe after dark.

“Perfectly friendly staff, clean rooms though somewhat malodorous, mediocre breakfast, but a good price. If you only need a place to sleep it is fine.”

• The room was big and clean.
• Milk at breakfast was spoiled; don't like exterior entrance for rooms.

“I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. I live near the hotel and it didn't appeal to me from the street. The rooms were big and clean. The in room refrigerator and microwave were great.”

• The room was clean with no musty odor!
• The ice machine was across the street too far. Head housekeeper rude.

“Before arriving, I was concerned that it might be a shabby place however, I was pleasantly surprised! The location was perfect for me, close to everything downtown and University of Georgia.”

• The most important thing when traveling it was clean.
• Not enough parking spaces and hard to park with large vehicle.

• Our room appeared to have had a recent makeover, with everything fresh and new.
• The continental breakfast was nothing to get excited about.

“For the price it is an excellent deal, and we will stay there again.”

• Air condition.

“There air conditioner was pre- programmed to never go below 74 degrees. Had to go buy a fan. It was so hot in the room. Other wise it was below the standard room I enjoy staying in but it was the only thing I could find for the location. It was fine for what I paid. Did not feel ripped off. We attended my 19 yr old daughter's college orientation, so the location was a key factor.”

• Small pool (but great privacy from road).

“This is the only hotel I stay at when I go to Athens. The parking is a little difficult, but much better than a garage, IMO. Close to downtown/campus. Wonderful staff and breakfast in the mornings. I have never had any problems here in my 10 plus stays. I would highly recommend this hotel.”

• The room was filthy.

“I believe that we stayed in the motel is for UGA students! The vending machines had nothing in them. The coffee "pot" in the room had no pot and no coffee (it did have the machine and napkin and stirrers). The floors were gross. The bathroom floor had hair on it. This motel was the worst one I have ever stayed in, and I have stayed in a lot of motels.”

• When I was having my breakfast included in the room price a staff member asked me if I was a guest there. This was embarrassing.

“For an economy hotel it was fine. It was comfortable and clean and the staff was accommodating. Good location and reasonably priced.”
