  • Convenient to freeway, newer property, well-maintained, excellent value.
  • Smells of smoke in 4th floor hallway.

“We enjoyed its proximity to the freeway, and the overall was
clean and new appearance of the property. I liked the toiletries provided, and that real glasses were used instead of plastic cups. Parking was easy, as was check-in.”

  • Resteraunt is excellent, rooms clean, bed and pillows very soft and comfortable.
  • Its 10 miles from town so I had a long travel on the freeway to go into town.

“I would stay here again. I felt safe, it was quiet and comfortable and I got lots of rest and relaxation here.”

“I needed to cash a check for $20 and they refused. I could not believe it. Manager was too busy to come out and talk to me. For a stinking $20 - which I needed to cover tolls in their stupid city - they could have covered it. I had plenty of ids to cover check. Otherwise, good experience.”

  • Room was large.
  • Air conditioner did not work.

“The hotel is older and laid out a bit like a rabbit warren with low ceilings in the narrow hallways. The room was right on the freeway. It was 79 degrees when we entered the room. The air conditioner didn't work and the windows didn't open. It was 77 degrees in the morning. Extremely uncomfortable! When I told the desk clerk in the morning, I was ignored. I do not want to stay here again!”

  • AC was loud. Got no sleep. One hotel staff was incompetent.

“I came in a little early. I was told computer was down and that I should come back at 3 PM. I hung around the lobby, saw another customer come to the front desk asking to be checked in early, he was told it would not be a problem.”

  • The great price I got to pay.
  • I liked it all.

“On of the things I look in hotels is how comfortable the beds are, the level of outside noise, and the "fluffiness" of the towels. This hotel had great beds, insulated the noise really well (my room faced the freeway), and the towels were for the most part soft (not like sand paper as in many other hotels.). I will stay here again given the chance.”

  • Incredibly close to the airport, with easy and recognizable access off the highway.
  • The rug and carpeting in and around the elevator was a little dirty and out of place.

“We stayed here for one night before taking an early flight out of SFO. We could almost see the rental car return center from our hotel room (it's extremely close). The hotel is right off of the 101, and is difficult to miss as you're getting off the highway. Staff was prompt and courteous and met our request for a slight change in room format. There is ample parking directly under the hotel, and is free for guests. The room had all of the amenities we would have expected for a brief one-night stay, plus more (Scope mouthwash!). We would certainly stay here again if flying in/out of SFO.”

“There is a serious problem in the system when I get a family owned hotel that does not measure up to corporate owned ones. Great lobby, much better location, etc.”

  • Location, staff, comfortable rooms, fridge, fitness center.
  • No swimming pool or hot tub for our children, freeway noise.

“This property is not a 3 star but I think it's probably a 2.5 - 3 star. Nice rooms with comfy beds, fridge, large. Fitness center is good. Restaurant/lobby are nice. The staff is friendly. Great location to airport and about 20 minutes from Fisherman's Wharf area/Downtown as well as to Pacifica for beach activities. Excellent hotel for business travelers but not great for families with kids unless you take them to the beach & Wharf a lot.”

  • Small rooms, no pool, tiny bar.

“The driveway looks like a service entry. There was nothing explaining that you had to park in the garage and take the elevator to the reservation desk. Once I was settled, it was quiet, though they offer only a microwave in their gift shop which is a closet with candy. It was clean and comfortable. Great for getting to the airport early or a place to stay at the airport late at night. I highly recommend the Embassy Suites. I was in awe of that hotel.”

  • The staff tried hard.
  • Dirty carpets.

“Hotel feels tacky and dirty because of the dirty carpeting. However, one person, graciously received us in the lobby and tried very hard to please us. He was so very kind. This gentleman worked the evening of Sunday 31 August, 2008 and he received us beautifully the morning of Monday, 1 September, 2008, in the restaurant. The staff did the best they could under the circumstances. They can't help the tiny entrance into the hotel, or the lack of funds, for steam cleaning the carpets in every area. It made a very bad impression and makes it very difficult for me to want to return. I have designed for hotels in Virginia, San Francisco and Alaska. This one was quite a disappointment.”

  • The room was clean and attractive.
  • We did have to request a 2nd room because the first smelled of smoke.

“The hotel is conveniently located to both San Francisco and the San Francisco Airport. There is a wonderful Thai restaurant on Grand street in South San Francisco. The hotel is clean, staff is polite and we enjoyed out stay.”
