“Great for business travelers in the financial district area. Free wireless internet. The hotel even provides free cookies and milk in the evening!”

• Location, on a busy street but very quiet.
• Bed was a little uncomfortable.

“This was a small, quaint hotel. Rich outside Union Square in San Francisco. Clean and quiet. The only noise you could hear was the joint rooms starting shower. We would stay here again.”

• Room presentation and friendliness of staff.
• Missing coffee pot and no ice machine.

“Lovely hotel overall; friendly staff; very tidy room. The hotel had an on site restaurant and bar which was very convenient and room service was available nearly around the clock. Unfortunately, no ice or soda machines were to be found. Ice had to be requested through room service and any sort of drink had to be purchased through the overpriced honor bar or restaurant. Also, the room did not have a coffee pot or microwave.”

• The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The best thing about this hotel.
• The screaming pipes that kept us up all night. I'm not talking creaky, I'm talking alarm going off screaming.

“The hotel staff was extremely friendly, professional and helpful. The hotel is old and though clean, looks a bit shabby (an aging beauty). There were beautiful marble floors in the bathroom, but scuff marks all over the sink cabinet. My pillow stank of men's hair tonic which made me wonder if it was clean. The worst part of our stay was the alarmingly loud screaming which came each time someone upstairs ran their water. I'm not talking a little noise of water running through the pipes, I'm talking a very loud, high-pitched scream which woke us from sleep (my young son started crying it was so startling) and kept us awake at night.”

• Location was terrific, La Scene restaurant was very good, with a very good breakfast buffet that was reasonably priced
• needs some uplifting, had an aged look, plumbing in my room was loose

• Excellent full-service hotel.
• Nothing - all good.

“The San Francisco Warwick is a full-service hotel that's also small enough to be friendly. The rooms were well-decorated, with good wireless ($12 a day). Good breakfast in La Scene, its restaurant. The hotel is very close to Union Square, so you can walk to much of San Francisco from it.”

“Great location just off Union Square. Professional and friendly service. Small rooms beds and pillows not up to standards of hotels in class. Surprisingly great restaurant off lobby.”

• The location was good.
• The room was small.

“Parking was $35. An expense I was not prepared for. I called the hotel before leaving my home town to inquire if they had a continental breakfast and they said they did. I guess I was not clear enough b/c they offerred one, but it was not included in the hotel price. The rooms were too small and the view from the window was of a dirty alley and apartments across the way.”

• The Day time staff was very helpful. Much more so than the night shift.
• Expensive Parking.

“Overall the room was clean and bed was made up when asked to. The location was good for where I wanted to go. The room was pretty quiet. If it wasn't for the parking - I would stay there again.”

• Nice decor, great location and very helpful staff.
• Older hotel.

“Overall, our stay was great. The staff was very attentive and helpul as well as kind. We stayed in a suite which was a good size with a small balcony looking over Geary St. Just a couple of blocks form Union Square and great dining areas. The decor of the room was nice. You have to keep in mind that the hotel is very old and historic. It was a very intimate setting. If you like that type of thing, you will love it here. If you expect modern decor and a brand new builing, this is not for you. Although, the upkeep of the building and rooms seems to be very good. We loved it.”

• The front desk clerk was very helpful, he sent us to very nice restaurants and also attractions. Very nice guy.
  
• The standard rooms are very small, but how much are you really in your room.

“The hotel in general for my wife and I was good. The people that works there are very friendly and knowledgeable. Front desk was our favorite person to ask directions and information.
”

• Friendly staff.
• Rooms a bit small, no fridge in the room, no ice machines.

“I liked this place quite a bit, the location is quite convenient and the staff was happy to assist with directions. There was no ice machines available to guests (due to space). But ice was brought to the room upon request.”

• Took 3 requests to get a bath robe.

“Did not seem very busy. Had 7th floor room, high above street noise. It is comparable to boutiques and 4 star hotels costing more.”

• Close to shops, but it was also in a scary neighborhood.
• Bad neighborhood, old run down hotel, rooms had old bathrooms.

“The hotel staff was great, but the hotel itself was very old. The tap in the sink didn't even turn off all the way and you can hear the water drip. There was no air conditioning in the room, only a fan - but if you turn the fan on high it starts to make a tapping sound so you need to turn it low if you want a good nights sleep. The neighborhood was horrible! Scary, random massage parlors. I wouldn't come back here.”
