• Breakfast was fabulous.
• Location and TV reception.

“There
were ants in my room. TV reception was very poor. Location - it was hard to get in the parking deck. This would be a good hotel for a business person who wasn't staying in the room much. They did have a microwave and fridge. Staff was helpful and responded fast to your needs.”

• Hotel staff was very friendly and attentive. Nice breakfast options.
• Hard to get to from I-5 coming south. Lots of confusing one way streets. A few transients seen.

“Overall I was happy with this hotel with the price I paid. While inside it was a 3 star, room and breakfast. Outside it was 2 star. The hot tub was kind of green. A free hot breakfast and 4 soft pillows on the beds is a great find these days.”

• The room was comfortable and clean.
• The parking was tight and not enough spaces for the amount of rooms in the hotel as I returned from visiting my relatives, I had to park on the street.

• The front desk is really helpful and nice.
• The heater is noisy. Also, not many TV channels.

“Not hard to find, easy to get on to I5, easy to look for food. The only thing I dislike is the heater.”

• Location right next to the freeway.
• Hotel surroundings were bizarre and entrance was hidden and parking on lobby level was very tight.

“Nice clean updated rooms, great value, easily accessible righ off the freeway. Pretty much just a place to sleep at night as the surroundings are very drab. You won't want to spend time hanging out or walking around the hotel because there is nothing to see around it.”

• parking was cramped.

“This was the best two star hotel that we stayed at out of the three on our trip. The carpet, paint, furniture and lobby were new, or recently replaced. Excellent maintenance. The linen was of excellent quality and quantity. The beds were comfortable and flat screen televisions are coming soon.”

• 2 king sized bed option. Clean. Free in room WiFi. Comp breakfast was above average. Close to Mission Bay attractions. Relatively good value for area.
• Ground floor hallway was always hot, tight parking, convenient but ugly location. Our room window was up against sidewalk. Suggest upper floors.

“Hotel was conveniently located to Mission Bay, but ugly surroundings. Though it seemed safe. I really liked the 2 king beds and the room was still spacious. Free in room WiFi was a plus. Breakfast choices were definitely better than typical continental. Suggest requesting an upper floor. Ground floor (below 1st) hallway was really hot, but temp in room was comfortable. Clean rooms. Helpful and cheery staff. Overall good value if you're just looking for a place to sleep.”

• It was clean and the staff was great.
• Elevator was way too slow and the parking was difficult to figure out because there were no signs leading to the underground parking.

• My kids loved it and wanted to stay longer.
• The elevator was very slow.

• Room was clean and comfy, breakfast was great, pool was small but clean and kids enjoyed it!
• Not the easiest to get to, next to a day labor pick up site, storage facility and Mega Church office building.

“Cons- Location is less that perfect- no views, surrounded by a storage unit, office building, car lot and a day labor site. Narrow access roads and parking spots closest to lobby level entry were very small and tight but the pros outweighed the cons. The staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The free breakfast included eggs sausage, bacon and cheese omelet's, plus high quality baked goods, yogurt fruit etc. And trays so you could take it to your room and was offered from 6-10 am ! Rooms were clean, nice pine wood furnishings. Pool and hot tub were well maintained with tables, lounges etc. and parking on lower level was ample and easy. Security patrolled regularly day and night and we were only 5 minutes from any attraction downtown and Sea world, beaches etc.”

• The rooms were clean and neat, and the employees were polite.
• Our room and hallway was stuffy, but the AC worked fine.

• It was very clean feeling.
• It was hard to find weird area.

“The hotel and its staff was great the breakfast in the morning worked great with our schedule, while it was in a not so desirable looking are and hard to find, it was less then 10 minutes from our trips focal point, which was sea world. It was close enough so we did not get lost but out far enough where we did not have to deal with the city issues that is traffic, noise.”

• Complimentary hot breakfast with lots of choices, pool and spa, great towels, comfy beds, quiet, easy freeway access.
• Odd location, bad parking set up, only one elevator meant waiting a lot or taking stairs.

“I would recommend this hotel to anyone who enjoys the comforts of a Holiday Inn Express. They have a complimentary hot breakfast with enough choices to satisfy just about anyone. They had great towels and comfy beds. The rooms came with a microwave, fridge, coffee pot, hair dryer, and iron.”

• The rooms were clean and neat.
• There were a few chaotic moments with some drunk hotel guests. Also the bathroom light didn't work very well so sometimes we would have to shower in.

• The staff was friendly and met my expectations well.
• They were re-modeling the 3rd floor and it was a bit noisy at times.

“I was overall happy with the hotel. The parking was difficult, it was small and cramped. The rooms were nice and the beds comfortable. The location surprised me, I was expecting it to be a little closer to the beaches. It was a good stay and the breakfasts were always good.”
