“Make good first impression; staff was very helpful; continental breakfast was exceptional; grounds neat and tidy; close to university; it appears that this property needs renovation; old aluminum widows difficult to open; tub drain had to be propped open with bottle cap to drain; sagging sheetrock in the bathroom.”

“I was looking for a cheap, convenient place to stay while attending a comic convention. This place is exactly how I stated it - cheap/convenient. The area was safe and I was able to get a good rate for the room. However, the cons outweigh the pros. The floors were so dirty that even after taking a shower wasn't good enough. The room wasn't lit well enough. The parking situation was bad in that there weren't a lot of larger spaces around. Our air conditioner left a foul smell in the room after leaving it on for 20 minutes. If I had to choose whether or not I'd come back to this hotel. Let's just say it would be the last place on my list.”

“It actually was pretty nice for a 2 star motel. However; we will probably not do 2 stars again. Did not know what to expect as this was our first time and our first stay in Long Beach. Should be frequenting there as our daughter will be attending CSULB.”

“My stay on may 3 was good but not on may 7. When I checked in at may 7 I told front desk person that I need a ride to long beach airport at 9 a.m. the following and she said the hotel shuttle is booked at that time and she just going to put on the log book that I need a cab and they'll pay for it, come may 8 and the cab was there to pick me up and they don't want to pay for it, the shuttle didn't arrive till 9: 35 a.m., almost missed my flight.”

“This hotel is close to the airport of lgb. For business travelers that use wireless may run into some problems as it didn't work for me or 2 others that were trying to use last week. In addition the courtesy shuttle needs to be booked well in advance as it was booked out and couldn't pick us up when we arrived or when we flew out. Also we made a stop downtown within 5 miles and they promised to pick us up and didn't so when I complained it resulted in front desk calling a cab and paying for it which was nice, but still keep in consideration.”

“This hotel should be called a motel. It is located in a ghetto, gang-filled area of long beach. Gang members hang around in the parking lot of the hotel all night drinking, cursing and partying. The hotel mgmt does nothing. Two of the lamps in my room had burned out bulbs. The front desk said maintenance would come up with bulbs but nobody ever did. It was hard to find the hotel. I would never, ever stay here again.”

“We did not feel very safe at this hotel. The rooms are extremely old and musty smelling. Beds are uncomfortable. This was the 2bd time we stayed there - had the same experience the first time but thought it may have been a fluke.”

“For the area the star level didn¿t seem to match up with others of the same level. The staff was very kind and very helpful. The room was clean but it was starting to show its wear and tear. The wallpaper was peeling and decor needs to be upgraded.”
