• Close to CSU Long Beach, great continental breakfast.
• Needs renovation; tub would not drain; wireless internet did not accessible.

“Make good first impression; staff was very helpful; continental breakfast was exceptional; grounds neat and tidy; close to university; it appears that this property needs renovation; old aluminum widows difficult to open; tub drain had to be propped open with bottle cap to drain; sagging sheetrock in the bathroom.”

“I have no complaints of hotel. It was excellent. I was unhappy though because I had made reservations at a hotel in a nearby city by mistake. Had hoped to get most of my money back when I changed hotels.”

• The continental breakfast was alright and rooms were kept nicely.
• Parking was horrible, tub was dirty, floors were very dirty, not enough lights, and air conditioner left a bad smell.

“I was looking for a cheap, convenient place to stay while attending a comic convention. This place is exactly how I stated it - cheap/convenient. The area was safe and I was able to get a good rate for the room. However, the cons outweigh the pros. The floors were so dirty that even after taking a shower wasn't good enough. The room wasn't lit well enough. The parking situation was bad in that there weren't a lot of larger spaces around. Our air conditioner left a foul smell in the room after leaving it on for 20 minutes. If I had to choose whether or not I'd come back to this hotel. Let's just say it would be the last place on my list.”

• Close to our destination, CSULB.
• Did not feel particularly safe as our room was in the back.

“It actually was pretty nice for a 2 star motel. However; we will probably not do 2 stars again. Did not know what to expect as this was our first time and our first stay in Long Beach. Should be frequenting there as our daughter will be attending CSULB.”

• My first stay on may 3 was good.

“My stay on may 3 was good but not on may 7. When I checked in at may 7 I told front desk person that I need a ride to long beach airport at 9 a.m. the following and she said the hotel shuttle is booked at that time and she just going to put on the log book that I need a cab and they'll pay for it, come may 8 and the cab was there to pick me up and they don't want to pay for it, the shuttle didn't arrive till 9: 35 a.m., almost missed my flight.”

“I would never consider this to be a 2 star hotel. It was just like the "My Name is Earl" hotel with new stucco on it.”

• Nice staff but over promises.
• (The courtesy shuttle service wasn't available during the 3 times I asked).

“This hotel is close to the airport of lgb. For business travelers that use wireless may run into some problems as it didn't work for me or 2 others that were trying to use last week. In addition the courtesy shuttle needs to be booked well in advance as it was booked out and couldn't pick us up when we arrived or when we flew out. Also we made a stop downtown within 5 miles and they promised to pick us up and didn't so when I complained it resulted in front desk calling a cab and paying for it which was nice, but still keep in consideration.”

“Old tired property, beds were saggy, air conditioner old fashioned and very noisy, room very dark and unattractive. WiFi wasn't working. Breakfast service was ok.”

• The grounds, pool and lobby are quite attractive.
• Poor guest parking, check-in staff was curt and we were made to feel not welcome.

“On Friday night, there were numerous youth room parties that continued till after 2am, in spite of my and other guest¿s complaints. Less than an enjoyable stay.”

• Nothing about this hotel was positive.
• Very unsafe neighborhood. No security on grounds.

“This hotel should be called a motel. It is located in a ghetto, gang-filled area of long beach. Gang members hang around in the parking lot of the hotel all night drinking, cursing and partying. The hotel mgmt does nothing. Two of the lamps in my room had burned out bulbs. The front desk said maintenance would come up with bulbs but nobody ever did. It was hard to find the hotel. I would never, ever stay here again.”

• Upgraded to a Jacuzzi room. No problem.
• Room was right on pacific coast hwy, little noisy.

“Very satisfied. Nice Jacuzzi, great continental breakfast. Really no complaints. Also the room seemed to have been recently re-hashed (new carpet, paint, etc.).”

• Homeless people under room window near trash.

“We did not feel very safe at this hotel. The rooms are extremely old and musty smelling. Beds are uncomfortable. This was the 2bd time we stayed there - had the same experience the first time but thought it may have been a fluke.”

• The staff was very helpful and friendly. They upgraded me to a Jacuzzi room.
• The star level was not comparable to the area. I paid more than I really should have.

“For the area the star level didn¿t seem to match up with others of the same level. The staff was very kind and very helpful. The room was clean but it was starting to show its wear and tear. The wallpaper was peeling and decor needs to be upgraded.”
