  • Nothing.
  • My first rammed smelled so bad I couldn't stay in it.

“Although it's in Bethesda if one takes the metro it is a mile walk from the Bethesda station. It is only a few blocks from the medical center stop. This information is not printed anywhere in the hotel description. Wisconsin avenue, in this area, is full of empty storefronts and some scary looking people hanging out in the entrances of the deserted buildings. I only recommend this hotel for the desperate with no other options.”

Cleanliness:[5] • Staff:[4] • Location:[4]

  • Room comfort was satisfactory.
  • Public areas did not have a "warm" feel - somewhat harsh and uninviting.

“This hotel has no frills, but for the DC. Area and the price, it is satisfactory for a one or two night business traveler.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[6] • Location:[10]

  • The shuttle service was prompt, courteous, and friendly.
  • The bathrooms not clean enough any time during our four days there.

“Mostly good on the hotel employees and service, however house keeping needs to do a lot better job. Also there were two shuttle drivers that were very slow on picking us up properly and were not prompt and they were not good employees for this type job at this company. There was only one shuttle driver that was very good.”

  • The staff and their willingness to help me get to and from the national cancer institute.

“I love the staff, very nice people. I love the large restaurant downstairs, good food, and a nice selection, good hours.”

Cleanliness:[4] • Staff:[8] • Location:[4]

  • Free internet service, friendly staff, and nice pillows.
  • Noisy location, vellum blankets, unattractive lobby, high-priced parking.

“Hotel did not meet expectations for a 2.5 star rated property. The hotel is right on the curb and at a very busy location, so is loud and noisy all night long, despite requesting a quiet room. The staff was courteous and efficient. Your question #12 does not accurately describe us. We were business traveler with spouse and all you offer is bus. Traveler solo or leisure traveler with spouse.”

  • Good place to stay and near to my daughter.
  • Parking fee too high. 11$, eight or nine seems reasonable.

“Clean room, good help and reliable price.”

“The hotel is close to I-495 and about 1/2 mile from the Metro. It was clean and comfortable and the staff was very friendly.”

  • Good location.
  • Parking fees and not shown on web site.

“Location near Metro and many fine restaurants within a few blocks. Parking fees of $11/day. Convenient computer in lobby for guest usage. This hotel has definitely been upgraded since when I stay there about 10 yrs ago. It was Ramada then. Still needs some upgrades, but my room was very nice. It had two bibles and no phone book!”

  • Elegant rooms.
  • Parking was $11 per night. No complimentary breakfast.

“Convenient location close to interstates for stay in Bethesda and Northern DC suburb. Very close to NIH. Rooms were clean and comfortable. No complimentary breakfast like many other hotels and they charge for parking. Weekend parking is free in the garage across the street. I would give this hotel a rating of 3/5.”

Cleanliness:[4] • Staff:[5] • Location:[9]

  • Convenient.
  • Smelly, wet carpet, uncomfortable room.

“This hotel is undergoing renovations and converting to condos. The rooms were loud (thin walls), smelly and the carpet was wet and moldy. This place was not a 2.5 star hotel. And the hotel advertises a workout room on their website but the exercise room has been closed for awhile. I also find it rude that such a hotel charges $11 for overnight parking.”

  • Half mile from the Metro Station.
  • It would take more than 20 words...

“This hotel is closing in a few months and turning into condos. It is apparent that the staff is no longer invested in the needs of the facility or its guests. I called ahead several times to verify that I could have a room with two double beds (we had three people staying), each time I called, I was told that it would be no problem; upon arrival, we were given a king room. We spoke with the Manager who was not willing to help us in any way. He indicated that we would need to rent another room at full price if we wanted a room with two double beds. Oddly enough, we spoke with a gentleman in the elevator who indicated that he was forced to have a room with two beds even though he requested a king room. This was terrible management, in my opinion. There are no vending machines on site, there are no phone books in the rooms, the bathroom fans didn't work in either of the two rooms that we were jockeyed between and the front desk has no maps of the area or of downtown Washington DC. We actually stopped at another hotel in the area to ask for a map. This was a very poor experience.”

Cleanliness:[4] • Staff:[3] • Location:[8]

  • The only thing I like about the hotel is the location. Any thing else is not good.
  • The staff were indifferent and not friendly. The advertisement is misleading.

“The hotel is in good location for business traveler. However, the staff, and the service were very bad.”

Cleanliness:[3] • Staff:[1] • Location:[6]

  • It was easy to find.
  • The staff could not do anything right. A horrible hotel stay.

“We use the hotel for lodging during appointments with the National Cancer Institute, therefore, we need shuttle service to the NIH in Bethesda. I called as soon as we booked to be sure there would be adequate shuttle service (available for my very early MRI time), and yet when we arrived late Thursday night, we found we were without a ride. The girls at the desk shrugged, and I had to WALK at 6:30 A.M. The sheets on one bed were unwashed. The other bed appeared fine. Their website assured me of a coffee pot in the room. There was none. A call to the front desk that night lead to a run-around of more than one hour. Having to get up extra-early to get to an early appointment, it was an enormous inconvenience to have to call four times (!) for a simple task, and wait until after midnight for the delivery. After my MRI, I went back to the room for a quick nap prior to my noon doctor's consults. Check out time was noon. At 9:00 I went to sleep, answering the door when housekeeping wanted to get in, and a contractor wanted to get in, stating that I would be out be 11:30. At 10:30, when I awoke there was NO WATER! A call to the desk only informed me that I should have gotten a letter the previous night (NOT the case) and no one told me that day either-- not at the desk, not housekeeping, not the contractor. I essentially was out of luck. I paid a priceline price of $69 + fees; a total of $85.09. That room and especially that staff was not worth a penny. I will be contacting Priceline about this hotel, their rating, and reparations.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[8] • Location:[9]

  • Under current renovation.
  • Location to many restaurants.

“The lobby and restaurant appear a little tired, but it appears as if there may be an opportunity for an overhaul with the current renovation. The rooms are nicely appointed and a surprise given the 1970's decor of the lobby.”

Cleanliness:[5] • Staff:[5] • Location:[5]

  • The bathrooms were OK, the room itself not bad. The public areas and entrance were awful.
  • This was a played out hotel ready for the demolisher.

“This hotel is ready to be torn down! Do not rent rooms in it in the future.”
