“The hotel was very nice and comfortable, but there were a few shortfalls. Staff kept directing me to the wrong floor when I asked how to get to the vending machine. I asked for more wash cloths and towels and they were brought to me quickly, but the towels were hand towels, not towels for drying after a bath/shower. There was no information in the room regarding restaurants or hotel amenities, and when I went to the desk to ask about food they could not provide any information or pamphlets concerning my issue. There was no (alarm) clock in the room! Several electrical appliances were not plugged in. I had to plug them in myself. The website stated that there would be 2 complimentary bottles of water in the room per day, but when we arrived we were told that the water would cost $10 per day (even if we only opened 1 bottle)! We were only staying for 1 night, so there was no way I was going to pay $10 for a bottle of water. After the mistakes that were made with the towels that I requested, the attendant still expected a tip!”

“Very pleasant and clean facility. We only stayed one night, but the room was comfortable and employees were friendly. We were part of a group cruising from Baltimore the following day, and the lobby and Crabby Hour gave us a nice venue to gather as a group the night before.”

“This was a great boutique hotel. Lobby was colorful with modern furniture that was very comfortable. Staff was very helpful and friendly. I had room on third floor, so had high slanted ceiling, made room feel more spacious. Only disadvantage was no balcony, though I could open slider, take advantage of view of harbor. Bed was very comfortable, lots of comfy pillows. Aquarium was right next door, two great restaurants adjoining hotel, within walking distance of Little Italy. I loved it here, will stay here again, hopefully in near future.”

“The only thing I did not like about the hotel was the fact that our room overlooked the air-conditioning vents and was extremely noisy. The staff other wise was wonderful.”

“WOW! Amazing hotel - I brought my wife along on a recent business trip - we were both amazed. Just walking into the lobby is breath-taking. She went to a free crab happy hour that they hotel had each night. We tried the Ruth Chris' Steakhouse that was right in the building for dinner - amazing food and service. Then - because the hotel is right on the waterfront - we were able to take a nice walk around the area. Can't say enough good things about the hotel.”

“The Pier 5 hotel is a great place to stay if you're looking for a nice hotel in the ideal Inner Harbor location in Baltimore, MD. My husband really enjoyed our stay there, including a wonderful dinner on the patio at McCormick and Schmick's. We were minutes away from all of the main attractions we wanted to visit, and taking the water taxi into Fell's Point was an added bonus.”

“The first two nights were adequate. The $9.95 fee charged per day per room for basically 2 12 oz bottles of water, a daily newspaper, and possible use of a gym with charges we thought was ridiculous! On the third night of our stay the canned music woke us up continuously

“This hotel is in a great area, but they charged all of us extra 10.00 a day for use of internet, phone calls, bottle water and other facilities.”

“Couldn't ask for a better location. The afternoon crab and truffle sessions were a great treat, as was the concept of two daily complimentary bottles of water in your room. Unique, calming ambiance. Plus, having Ruth's Chris and McCormick and Schicks in the same building really is a bonus.”

“The hotel was very nice, the location was great. It is located right on the bay. There is a lot to do in the inner harbor area. We were there for a Orioles game. The stadium is about a ten minute walk from this hotel. I however would not venture too far out of this area because the fringe neighborhoods were a little scary. The hotel staff wasn't rude but you could tell that this was a 3 star hotel and not a 4 or 5 star. They just seemed like they didn't care, and couldn't be bothered with our questions. The night clerk at the front desk could hardly speak English and couldn't answer any of our questions. We've never been to Baltimore before and we needed some help, if you can't ask the hotel clerk, they who can you ask? Overall a nice hotel, it was clean, and the beds were comfortable. The walls are little thin, we actually had to call down to the desk and ask them to call our neighbors because we could hear their TV.”

“Overall, the hotel is nice. It's a fabulous location, right in the middle of absolutely everything. However, the food was overpriced (as expected), and apparently there was only one person as both bellhop and valet attendant, so it took almost a half hour to have someone to come up to help me when I was told "a few minutes". Also, we hung our towels up so that we could reuse them the next day, but they were replaced anyway. Also, they charge you $10 extra per night for 2 bottles of water per day (and they only gave us one the second day because one was still half full), a newspaper, and a bunch of other amenities that we didn't even use. The front desk staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. All in all, I personally probably would not stay there again, but the people were nice and the location is great.”

“Overall nice, but doors were very loud when people entered or exited rooms, along with noisy pets. Also noisy people outside. It didn't seem like the staff could do much about these things considering people would leave pets in their rooms and then go out.”

“A very nice experience. I heard a few people describe the hotel as sort of like a scene from Alice in Wonderland, which seemed an apt description.”

“The barking dog was not fun. I felt they could have handled better. There were people complaining about the dog when we were checking in and they put us right across the hall from the barking dog. I thought that was unprofessional on their part. The dog kept us up all night”

“Nice hotel for overnight stay. Lacks amenities of some 3 star hotels. No pool, no fitness center on site. Close to Inner Harbor, Little Italy, Fells Point. Hotel is very art deco, not traditional. Shuttle only goes to other properties and will not take you anywhere else.”
