“First impressions formed by the attractive lobby and bar are not upheld by the dated and deteriorating rooms.”

“This is not a four star hotel by any stretch. I felt we overpaid for this stay in comparison to other four star hotels in the area. We even had to pay for our coffee from the shop in the lobby. The menu in the restaurant was limited and way overpriced. The staff was very friendly and tried to help as much as possible.”

“This Sofitel makes me want to seek others to stay. The bed and bedding were probably the most comfortable we have had in a hotel. We had a lot of time to kill before our flight out and the chairs and sitting arrangements gave us a relaxing place to read and hang out. Several flower arrangements were being delivered and we greatly appreciated the flowers many were yellow, in glossy black vases very contemporary and fun.”

“For the Star rating and location this is a great hotel. It is located right off of the interstate in the middle of St Charles County. And it is very affordable. This hotel was amazing & the staff made our stay truly special night. I would recommend this hotel to my family & friends. The room was clean, modern and comfortable. I thanked the manager and she treated me as if I was full paying customer.”

“The rooms were very nice & cozy. They were classy without going overboard. They had exactly what guests want in a room. The restaurant was a little over priced, especially those with small children. They need less expensive options. Other wise the staff was great, very nice & helpful. The shuttle bus the hotel provided came in handy when going to catch public transportation.”

“I normally stay at Holiday Inn, Westin, or Hilton hotels. I thought I would try Sofitel as a European themed Westin level hotel. This is not the case. The Sofitel has a fairly nice lobby with marble tiles and fresh flowers. However, everything else is more in line with a large roomed Super 8. The furniture was cheap and so old the finish was worn off. The bed was old and firm. Their was no top sheet, only a duvet! There were two pillows! Did they not finish making the bed? The bathroom was nice with tile and an outdated shower/bath. The parking was convenient, but cost $18 a day.”

“Overall a good experience. Parking was really far from the hotel. A long way to drag your bags if you don't know the distance ahead of time.”

“The Rosemont Sofitel is very close to O'Hare and perfect for the in and out business traveler. There aren't a lot of nearby dining choices in the area, so it's room service or a cab ride elsewhere. Generally very comfortable and clean.”

“Overall the experience was good. Staff at the restaurant and bar were very polite and helpful, but those at the parking and reception not at the same level. From previous experiences in 3 and 4 star hotels I would give this one a definite 3 not 4.”

“Staff of this hotel was very accommodating. Any problem we had including a noisy party next door was rapidly dealt with by security. Staff gave us a few complimentary breakfast due to the problem. Room quality and amenities were top rate. Sofitel in my opinion is definitely in the top tier of hotel establishments. They treat their patrons with respect and kindness.”

“I was very impressed with the Sofitel Rosemont. The bar & restaurant were superb. The restaurant even served some freebies at breakfast (strawberry smoothie sample, croissants) in addition to what came with my order that surprised me. Lots of helpful staff. Room service was courteous, prompt, & excellent food. The rooms were extremely comfortable, feather-top mattress, down comforters, blackout curtains, strong water pressure in shower, nice/cool temperature that was easy to adjust, small sofa & chair along with a work desk, large flat-screen TV. I loved the small bamboo plant in the bathroom! The el station was only 4 blocks from the hotel. Very easy to go downtown. The hotel is also connected to the Stephens Convention Center, which is very convenient. Even though the airport is very close by & planes were taking off night & day, I barely noticed them inside the room. It was the best two nights sleep I've ever had at a hotel! I wouldn't necessarily recommend this hotel to families with small children. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone else.”
