“The Knickerbock has tons of old world cham with all the modern amenities. I liked the architecture of the old building. The only thing I couldn't figure out is why the rooms have a oriental look to them.”

“I really enjoyed The Knickerbocker. Excellent location, and very nice. The room was very nice, as well. My only disappointment was in the concierge recommending a restaurant in which I truly believe she gets paid(she gave us her card to give to the hostess).”

“Room was adequate and housekeeping was timely. Service at the doorman level was non-existent. When we arrived in the rain and the cab driver took our luggage from the trunk and placed it on the sidewalk, the bellmen were too bust texting and chatting to move, and this is how it was for our entire 8 day stay. Coming and going several times a day for 8 days and the door was opened for us twice and a cab offered to be hailed (and was) twice. Not service oriented.”

“It's location permitted it to overcharge for the quality of the room. Nice bathroom. Decent decor. Seems dining room wasn't open when I would have liked it to be and posted prices seemed very high.”

“Friendly, clean and close to places we wanted to see and shop. Just a few more choices, like cafe coffee shop etc. would be nice.”

“Overall, our stay was excellent. We were in walkable distance to everything we wanted to see. The lounge/bar off the lobby was very relaxing. The updated rooms were comfortable but very small. Valet parking was quick and efficient.”

“This was our third stay at the Knickerbocker. The location was great but...the room seemed a bit small for the amount of furniture in it. There was quite a bit of humidity not to mentioned that the thermostat was not working properly. As a decorator, I would have arranged the furniture so that the room was not as cluttered.”

“The hotel is stylish, but the amenities are meager. A fee for a band-aid or forgotten toothpaste! I got a "better" room with a view of the fire-escape next to the elevator so I didn't have to worry about over sleeping (past mid-night.) Exhausting!”

“This is a hotel that has recently remodeled their very small rooms with showers that blast you with cold water, there is no way to avoid and a lobby in serious need of a face lift. The staff with exception of the bartenders and waiters were extremely rude.”

“Very nice common areas and great bar atmosphere. Bartenders were very engaging. Concierge exerted extra effort for dinner reservations. Rooms were very small. We were charged $40 extra a day for double beds. That really displeased us. Exercise facility was way below par. Small and inferior machines in bad shape.”

“Overall this was a great hotel for a one day staff if you don't plan on staying in the room. The location is excellent and the staff were very friendly. Parking was over $50 overnight, so I recommend parking over at the Drake right across the street which will save you $15.”
