• The hotel was very clean.
• We were treated poorly.

“I would have given this hotel a better rating if the staff would had been more friendly to us. I felt that we were discriminated. The front desk was not very friendly and we had the worst room in the hotel. We had to move two times to get a room that was only adequate. The air conditioner never worked properly which led to poor sleeping.”

• I liked having the breakfast in a very nice room. The staff was extremely friendly and nice.
• There wasn't anything that I would say displeased me.

“This hotel is a place with friendly and helpful staff in a prime location convenient to everything. It was nice to have a breakfast with variety and a nice room in which to eat it in. The room itself was attractive and clean.”

• I really liked the business center with access to computer.
• Because of the pool, hotel smelled like chlorine.

“Do not have one complaint other than not being able to upgrade to a suite, because the rooms were a lot small. I have twins so the extra room would of been greatly appreciated. The hotel was very clean, which is a major plus with me. Hotel staff was helpful and friendly. Thank you for making my vacation a positive experience!”

• Lobby makes a great first impression. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean and comfortable.
• They could use two waffle makers. One was not sufficient for demand at breakfast.

“Nice clean hotel with attractive lobby area, comfortable room and good location close to the mall and newer retail area of Champaign/Urbana. I would not hesitate to stay here again.”

• It was a very nice hotel with very nice employees.
• Wished the breakfast food was kept warmer.

“My husband and I enjoyed staying at this hotel. The room was very comfortable and the public areas very nice. Just wish we would have checked the pool hours prior to our stay so we could have enjoyed the pool! We would definitely recommend this hotel to others and hope to stay again in the future.”

• I really like the upgrades to the fitness room and breakfast area. It really adds to the overall look of the hotel.
• The only thing I didn't like was that the breakfast only went until 9:30, I would like for it to go until at least 10:00 or 10:30.

“For the most part, everything was very good during our stay. The staff is good about giving you all the information you need before you can ask any questions. The one thing I did not like was we went down for breakfast about 8:45 and we did not see anyone taking care of the breakfast items. I wanted a waffle, but there was no more batter. There is plenty of other things to eat though. Since I have worked in a hotel before and a restaurant, I can understand how things can happen. Overall, I am pleased with my stay.”

• Kind and supportive staff, clean and decent breakfast.
• Ran out of shampoo, wireless internet was flaky.

“Nice hotel. Clean & comfortable rooms. The staff was great, very kind and looked to help in any way possible. Nice breakfast, decent variety. Fresh coffee machine available 24hrs/day. Good location near mall, restaurants and highway. However, on this trip the wireless internet was flaky and kept dropping my connection and the hotel ran out of shampoo.”

• Extremely clean, friendly and spacious.
• The cleaning people started knocking at 8:00 am on the one day I got to sleep in.

• This hotel offered an excellent continental breakfast and fresh baked cookies in the lobby.
• This hotel allows animals in the bedrooms for $15 additional. I am allergic.

“Overall, this hotel is very accommodating and comfortable. I thought the bathroom could have used a better cleaning but, other than that, the hotel is located in a good area (close to restaurants, the interstate, and the mall) is a fairly new development, and presented a warm, welcoming atmosphere.”

“We stayed 2 nights to visit friends. The location is out by the mall & a couple miles to the university. The rooms were just ok, beds were old, place needs a face lift. Breakfast was good.”

• Safe location, close to shopping, restaurants, U of I.
• Could not check in early.

“Showed up at the hotel for check in at about 1330 and asked to check in. Check in staff told me no available rooms to check into at that time. Give me a break there were a handful of cars in the lot and only 1.5 hours until regular check in. After a 4 hour drive and 3 kids along for it you would think they could have found one room. Once in the room tried to brew up some tea and found the coffee pot and guess what no where to plug it in. Had to take it to the bathroom to plug it in, most hotels already have it here, not this one. The sink did not drain ick. Went out to dinner and came back and got into it with the wife about parking in the slot right by the walk in door because like many hotels this is where the drunks pitch their bottles on the way up to sleep it off. This parking slot was no different, littered with broken glass. Got the car out of there and parked elsewhere. No noise overnight. The next day checked out and ran into another customer complaining about the cleanliness of her room. Went out side and it was 8 degrees with a wind-chill factor of below zero. Got to the car. Flat tire. Made it through the pay as you go pot whole pathway in Chicago only to be taken out by a beer bottle in the parking lot. Good thing Meijer's gas station was close to get a can of fix a flat. I think will go back to staying with relatives. No cost, early check in, their sink drains, plug ins for the coffe pots and if their is glass in the drive way at least they are blocked in until my flat is fixed. Find another hotel to look into!”

• The breakfast was pretty good with a variety of food.
• The hall had a funky odor.

“Nicely done with just the right thrills. The complimentary breakfast was very good with a variety of food. Although it didn't have "hot" items (eggs, bacon, etc.) It did have a waffle maker and you could toast/micro rolls etc. The room was nice but basic. The pool and hot tub were nice. There was a funky odor in our end of the hall and some construction was going on, but not at night. I hope they have that fixed for next year as we will be coming back.”
