“This hotel is quaint and set in some amazing territory. There are rolling hills and the landscape is such a delight that the distance from the interstate was hardly noticed. I was able to experience a taste of the countryside that I wouldn’t have been able to see if I had just crashed right off the highway. In addition, there was a cozy diner attached that was open both very early and later in the evening that served a large array of home style cooking that I enjoyed on several occasions. I would stay there again in my future visits.

“Room was adequate for our brief overnight stay. It was clean but certainly not luxurious. The attendant on duty was friendly but when I requested additional towels he handed me a flimsy plastic bag with towels inside. In order to become more upscale they might try sweeping the outside walks of the balconies and enlarging the parking spaces. Also the towels are paper thin.”

“My husband's family is from Tunnel ton, so this motel was pretty close to all the places we needed to be. We visited January 2007. The lady at the front desk when we arrived that night was very nice and offered us a room with 3 beds instead of 2 because we have 3 kids. The first room smelled like it was made of cigarettes and had no hot water in the sink and hardly any in the shower. It was a little cramped or maybe just not laid off right as the table and fridge and microwave were all cramped in the corner nearly blocking any walkway in or out of the room. The next morning my husband went to the office and we were moved to another room with 3 beds. This room was excellent. Laid off in a way that we could all get around easily. It had plenty of hot water and the air smelled extremely clean. The beds left some to be desired and if you want a decent pillow, bring your own. The people at the office were very nice whenever we went in to talk to them. I pre paid the stay, so no one came back saying I owed more. We will stay again.”

“The motel was located in an alright place, considering I usually stay in Morgantown! I'm glad I brought my own towel because you could see through the ones they gave you! There staff in the office I dealt with was not the friendliest, but whatever! I'm glad I didn't have to chare off the vacation and contact you too just to get the price you quoted for me. They promised goodie bags? I'm not sure what they were except maybe shampoo, which there wasn't any to be found! I'd rate this place a half star and I wont be using them again!”

“At check out I was hit with an additional charge of an additional $25.00 due to "a mistake made by the night manager" on the billing of the room. I was very unhappy because the morning manager could not explain why I owed the additional money, but I paid it. I won't be going back to that flophouse.”

“The hotel is very basic but clean. The only problem I had is getting to and from the hotel. It is listed as only 20 miles from Morgantown but due to the access roads it takes over 30 minutes each way.” Amenities at Heldreth Motel, Kingwood
