“The ceiling creaked when the people above me walked - it woke me up regularly. The ice machine in the hallway leaked and the hotel did not clean it prorperly ending in a wet rotten smell. I had to cover the doorway crack to my room with a towel. Also the wireless internet did not work.”

“My wife and I stayed at the Microtel on July 21, 2007. The 2nd floor hallway reeked of dog urine, the carpets in the hallway and the rooms were badly stained. I was kept awake a good part of the night by the incessant howling of a dog in the adjacent room and the fire alarm (not at the same time). Friends were staying there (in other rooms) as well. Several of us were bitten during the night by unidentified critters (bedbugs?). One friend counted over 50 bites. Not just annoying little red bites, mind you, but angry, inflamed red bites with inflammation of the skin around the bite site. I wrote a letter to management via their web site, but haven't heard anything back from them (2 days, so far). My biggest fear is that they will offer me a free night in another one of their substandard, bug infested properties. Avoid this hotel at all costs.”

“I asked to be moved due to the stench in the hallway on the 3rd floor and the desk clerk was very sarcastic at first she said she wouldn't move me then she did, Couldn't tell me how to connect to the wireless network, and was just an unpleasant person. The mattress was so hard I only got 2 hours sleep that night. ”

“The hotel room was okay, but it was a very cheap room. Bathroom counter was broken and shower was broken. Beds were very hard. Only stayed in the hotel for one night.”
