“We enjoyed our stay, and will go back. Hopefully, the restaurant renovations will be completed.”

Cleanliness:[1] • Staff:[2] • Location:[3]

  • Lobby was beautiful.
  • Room was very dirty and noisy.

“I was surprised that the room was very very dirty. Many trash on the floor and worms in bathroom. They hadn't cleaned the room after previous guests used it. There was a someone's underwear in the bathroom! Besides, the room was very noisy (may be it was a sound of air conditioner). I couldn't sleep in the room. Sure, I asked the staff to change the room next day, but the staff made a disagreeable face!”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • The historic of it were interesting to me and the rooms were so homey.
  • It would have been nice to have a pool or a Jacuzzi and better TV reception on local channels.

“I would definitely stay there again. I would, however, like to see at least a Jacuzzi put in somewhere. Somewhere that does not hinder the historic value of the hotel. The price was a little high for what I am used to, but the best for what I was looking for. It was suggested to me to stay at the Regency Hotel due to the NNEP show that was in town, but the price was higher there.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[8] • Location:[10]

  • The hotel is in a great location. It is located within walking distance of all the downtown attractions.
  • This hotel is not for young people. It does not have a pool or gym or any entertainment.

“If you like historic buildings then this place is for you. The location is great. It is within walking distance to all the downtown activities. However if you are looking for a hotel with more entertainment then perhaps you should check elsewhere. There is no pool, exercise room, or restaurants.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[9] • Location:[2]

  • It was beautiful -- gorgeous entry, building with high ceilings.
  • The trains in the adjacent switch yard were LOUD!

“If you are going for romantic ambiance, and gorgeous, charming details, this is the hotel for you. If you, however, would like to sleep at night, the trains just outside your window are too loud, and single pane glass does almost nothing to abate the noise.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[7] • Location:[7]

  • The valet was extremely nice.
  • Under construction, put us in the dungeon, lots of areas still in old status.

“Very disappointed in my family's stay. I think that somewhere in the information we should know that the hotel is under major renovation. My family was put in a room that I would consider in the "dungeon."”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The hotel was very accommodating and had a van to take us to different parts of Nashville.
  • Some people would not like the train sounds but it did not bother us.

“The Union Station hotel is an excellent value in Nashville. The rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed. Do not expect a scenic view of downtown Nashville; instead savor the railroad history in the refurbished lobby and enjoy the beautiful spiral staircase off of the lobby. The hotel is close to most tourist destinations or if where you want to go is not within walking distance the hotel staff will take you there in the van. My daughters and I loved staying in this hotel during our 4 week long driving trip.”

Cleanliness:[4] • Staff:[9] • Location:[4]

  • Bad neighborhood, bums walking around, there are trains that go throughout the night.
  • Great lobby, room were a little dirty, need renovating.

“The location, though near downtown is in an area where bums hang out, so they are walking outside all the time and the trains run all night long just behind the hotel, noisy.”

Cleanliness:[6] • Staff:[6] • Location:[8]

  • The Grand entrance is amazing, to bad it was under construction.
  • The room was not as hot as the hotel, I had higher expectations of the room.

“Great location to the city, stay would have been better if construction was finished. For the money I spent it was worth it, but I am not sure that I would not choose the Marriott downtown by 2nd ave as my first choice.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[7] • Location:[9]

  • Perfect location. Very historic.
  • The hotel was undergoing major renovation work, which closed the majority of shops and restaurants in it.

“Once renovation is complete, this will be a great place to stay. The work being done at the hotel greatly affected the amenities.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[5] • Location:[7]

  • Beautiful lobby. Good location.
  • Views from lower rooms. Pricey for what you get.

“If you want a decent view from your room, be sure to ask for it. Our room overlooked the inside of pigeon stained arch about 3 feet from the window. If we ducked down we could see the railroad tracks where the occasional drunk would stumble by. The room itself was ok. The lobby is very unique. It is within a healthy walk of the nightclub area (plus they offered a free shuttle that we did not use). The staff we encountered were neither rude nor pleasant. They all seemed rather distracted.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[5] • Location:[6]

  • The historic site.
  • Parking lot in back, had to carry luggage 2 flights.

“The young man that checked me in wasn't very friendly. Housekeeping never brought the set of towels I requested. Only parking out front was $14 valet parking. Didn't feel safe walking out back to and from my car.”

Cleanliness:[3] • Staff:[3] • Location:[5]

  • Location in downtown
  • Badly needs upgrade, noise from trains.

“Location is somewhat convinient, however the hotel is in dare need of upgrade. The lobby was in pretty bad shape, however my room was worst. Thorn carpet, poor furniture condition and noise from passing freight trains.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[8] • Location:[8]

  • The lobby was beautiful!
  • We were charged a large amount for parking. We also didnt' have any kind of view. Very ugly!

“If you get a room with a on the third floor or above, you will love it! Any room below the lobby will be dark and you won't want to open your window because of the ugly view. Also, be prepared to pay a large amount for breakfast and parking. You get nothing for free.”

  • Great Historic property. Let people know of the history in more detail
  • The parking too small; no self parking

“Great historic value, see the beer holding Angels and the digital clock (cirla 1900). Very hidden treasures if your the stop and smell the roses type when traveling..details are important...”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[6] • Location:[8]

  • It has a beautiful lobby and the rooms are small, but nicely appointed.
  • I could not get anything to eat after 10 PM and there is a $14 (plus tips) per night parking charge.

“A nice historic hotel, but no room service or restaurant dining after 10 PM. That was very inconvenient. Also there was a piano being played in the lobby at about 10:30 PM and the noise carried all through the hotel.”
