“Loews's Vanderbilt Plaza Hotel is a gorgeous hotel in a great location across from Vanderbilt University. It has a vintage yet full modern feel and the rooms are very inviting with soothing colors and wonderful bedding/linens. Another great feature is the later-than-normal checkout of noon. This would be the ideal hotel for business or leisure travel.”

“The hotel was located in one of my favorite Nashville areas. They charged $19 a day for parking, which is unheard of and unnecessary for the Nashville area, where I grew up. Staff was friendly overall, and the room was stylish and comfortable. The bed linens and comforter were especially nice for a hotel setting. Other extras like bathrobes, etc. Made it feel more like home. The internet access was not free and not wireless- they need to upgrade this service to be competitive with other hotels. Also, they leave conveniences in the room like bottled water and snacks but charge exorbitant prices for them, a bit of an insult. We ordered room service for dinner one night, which was quick and worth the 21% gratuity and $3 additional service charge. It was my birthday, and they did send a free dessert. Their on demand movie service also needs to be updated. Though it appears from the remote control in the room movies are able to be paused, stopped, etc., you must watch them in one sitting. The instructions for this weren't clear, and we ended up with several charges for the same movie on our bill; thankfully the friendly staff removed these charges.”

“They grow grass in the lobby for goodness sake! Very friendly. Very classy. Very convenient to Vanderbilt. Lots of restaurants within easy walking distance. They have umbrellas in your closet in case it rains. Great concierge.”

“Overall, we had a very nice time here. The valet, front desk, and concierge staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and cozy and the bed was very comfortable. We dined at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse happens to be connected to the hotel.”

“I really enjoyed my stay; I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone! Except for the loose showerhead, this was the best hotel shower I have ever had. The food was great, the bed was comfortable, and I really like this place!”

“Our newly renovated room was directly over the location where the renovations were currently taking place, and as a result, throughout the afternoon we heard frequent drilling and banging. The robes were dirty upon arriving at the room. Charging $19 for parking when patrons have already paid more than enough for a room is ridiculous and frustrating. The high end botanical products are watery and weak. Service was fine at the front desk, but its all a front. Behind this luxury hotel is a struggling midrange hotel which obviously has to make up ground in overcharging for parking and mini-bar fees.”

“Overall a good experience with this hotel although It's a stretch to call this a 4 star hotel. Maybe 3.5 Not the best location if your looking for downtown hotel. If you give them a debit card for "incidentals" the will put a $260 and a $70 authorization on your account.”

“Everything was great except the valet service. You pay $22 to have them wisk away your car. They advertise free shuttle service to Vanderbilt for convenience. Getting to Vanderbilt was no problem. When we called for a pick-up from Vanderbilt at 8 pm we were told they were "busy" and we should have made a reservation. No one told us that detail despite our asking how the shuttle worked. So, two females were stranded in the evening in a strange place. We had to walk back to the hotel. It took 50 minutes in the 30 degree weather with a large instrument in tow. The next morning I was equally irritated when they told me the Valet might not be able to get my car at a specific time due to being understaffed. We had a time sensitive arrangement and I had to worry that I could get my car back. Other than that, the hotel was awesome. Everyone was friendly! The room was very comfortable. Room service was delivered on time as requested!”
