• Comfortable with free parking.
• Out of the way.

“My grown daughter and I toured the wine region near McMinnville and the lion inn was a good central point. It had a comfortable bed, small refrigerator and tea making facilities, which came in handy. She lives in Arizona and I am in the UK - the lovely and lush green scenery was a bonus to us both.”

• Incredible value and easy location. big room.
• Cleaning chemicals very strong smell in hallway.

• The rooms where big and roomy and the beds were comfortable. The hotel was very quite.
• The to have breakfast in the morning you had to ask for item and would only bring out a small amount of the item when the room was full of people.

“I liked the stay the hotel was very comfortable very clean and was very nice!! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The stay was a very pleasant stay.”

• Clean. Well lit, comfortable. Enjoyable continental breakfast.
• Pool was in need of some cosmetic repair.

• Soap/shampoo were higher quality than my last stay at a 4 star hotel.
• The 1st morning, there was no hot water after 8:30 am.

“Very good location and lodging to access the Willamette Valley wineries. The bathrooms have been updated and are clean. We felt that we really received a great value for the price.”

• Very accommodating for travelers dealing with the traffic.
• Couple of bugs on the ceiling. Not friendly ones, either.

“The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and that made everything more pleasant. The room was clean and that's always a plus. There was no odor to the room as well. The bathroom was tidy and orderly.”

• No pool for kids.

“Last time we were here we stayed at the safari motor inn. The red lion is far superior. Large room with comfortable beds. Free breakfast and internet.”

• Maid woke me up to see if I was checking out, I had do not disturb hanging on the door.

• Immaculate, extremely helpful staff/friendly, beautiful.
• No complaint.

• They had a very nice continental breakfast and the rooms were very clean.
• There is nothing within walking distance of the hotel except for a McDonalds.

“This hotel exceeded my expectations. It was very clean and did not have any of those weird smells that most economy hotels have. The continental breakfast was very nice and the hotel was very quiet. Pleasant stay.”

• Computer access in lobby.
• Monday/Tuesday--breakfast--they were out of a lot of things.

“Overall great hotel...for a 3 star and this was just a two star. but the free breakfast--they were out of a lot on Monday/Tuesday...that was a turn off. we had to eat out one day.”

• No surprises at all!. Just like it should be. Quiet and Housekeeping wasn't banging around at 6:30am! (Or 9am for that matter!) Excellent value!
• The ONLY thing that was not up to my expectation was the lack of wireless Internet in the room. Lobby yes, room no! :(

“There are 2 nice places to stay in Mac, as the locals call it, the Red Lion and Vineyard Inn. Without question, the Red Lion will get my return business. Everything, with only one exception, was better at the Red Lion. There service is better, the price, the location, the breakfast, the staff, the cleanliness, EVERYTHING, is better. I have paid a ton more for a night's stay and received far less. If you need to pick between the Red Lion, Vineyard, or heaven forbid the Safari Motor Inn, there is no comparison for the price. As for the high end McMenniman's property downtown, don't bother. I am sorry but creaky floors just doesn't have the appeal any more. Wireless speed is excellent but it would be nicer in the room.”
