  • Nothing.
  • Very rude when checking in very dirty room.

“This was one of the worst rooms. The room was filthy, we stayed less than half and hour.”

  • Very convenient for the car show.
  • Dirty carpet, no top, sheets did not fit bed, unhappy overall.

“We have stayed at this place 3 other times and was very nice. Carpet was very dirty, no toilet paper when we checked in very late at night, sheets were for king size bed and we had regular beds, we had to hunt the cleaning person down to get fresh towels the next day. Very unhappy with my stay, also called ahead to make sure they knew we had a pet and ask they try and put our room close to my son's room as he was checking in earlier that day and they completely put us on opposite sides of the building. Very disappointed.”

  • The people who brought clean towels were nice.
  • Almost everything.

“I was sick from the room they gave me. I went in and explained that I was afraid to take my shoes off or even let my child stay there. I had to pay extra dollar per night to stay in a suite that reeked of smoke. The carpet was somewhat cleaner but I hope to never have to stay there again.”

Cleanliness:[1] • Staff:[3] • Location:[4]

  • It was close to Dollywood.
  • Roaches, no window coverings, no blankets.

“The tower is extra. There was an 8 in square hole cut in the blinds, which would have been fine, but we were on the first floor facing the parking lot. We turned back the covers to find two live roaches in the bed. The beds had no blankets, since they were stripped to give to the rooms that were sleeping 6 to a room. You are left with a sheet and a bedspread. Besides the tower, this hotel should be bulldozed.”

  • Plenty of parking.
  • There was no ice machine in our building and the soda machines did not work.

“The hotel said it had a continental breakfast but only served coffee and orange juice. For the price, the hotel was reasonable, but if I go back to Pigeon Forge, I would not stay again. It's at the end of the strip so it's too far to walk to any attractions.”

  • Near Dollywood and attractions.
  • Breakfast.

“It was nice as long as you stay in towers. We called hotel and up graded to towers. Old section was not so nice. Make sure you ask for towels.”

Cleanliness:[4] • Staff:[7] • Location:[6]

  • It had an indoor pool, but it was small in size.
  • The rooms were old and needed new carpet. The bathtubs were not clean looking in appearance.

“I have stayed at this hotel before in the newer part and it was fine. The older part is out of date and needs to be re done.”

“I have stayed at this hotel before. The first time we stayed in a regular room, this time we stayed in a suite. For the money, go for the suite. It only cost a little more. It is very nice. Everyone was friendly. We will stay there again!”

  • It was very easy to find and accessible and friendly people.
  • There was a dead insect in our bathroom the four days.

“From the brochure I was under the assumption we were in the suites. It was very deceptive. The room were straightened every day and beds made. However there was a dead bug in our bathroom when we arrived and it was there when we left. I do not believe we will return.”

  • OK room for money.
  • We stayed 3 nights This hotel is very unorganized.

“This hotel billed my credit card after I paid cash in the hotel. We originally were staying at the GRAND which by the way is NOT GRAND. The grand was having electrical issues so we asked for our money back and they refused to give any refund so they sent us over to smoky mountain shadows which was OK but not still not what we were accustomed to. I booked the Grand over the internet and it looked GREAT in the pictures!! Reality is much DIFFERENT”

  • Location.
  • Noisy, not well kept.

“First room offered was a smoking room which was filthy. Second room was cleaner but needed updated. Extreme amount of noise in the hallways, especially at night.”

  • Very Nice!
  • The pool... I think it should have stayed open a little bit longer than it did.

“Very nice hotel! Very good customer service. I will definitely be back another time! Very good rates, and very clean! Thank you Smokey Shadows!”

  • It was near Dolly wood.
  • It was dirty.

“They have 2 different facilities. A brand new one (that they used for the description of the place I would the staying). The other facility was an old, dirty, and ran down. I got stuck in that one. ”

Cleanliness:[2] • Staff:[4] • Location:[7]

  • It was easy to get to--easy to find.
  • Room was dirty--old underwear left in drawers. AC unit was extremely loud.

“Room was dirty. There was a pair of underwear left in the drawers--not sure if they were dirty or clean. Air condition unit was incredibly loud. Constantly had to ask for additional towels and wash cloths. Hotel allowed some traveling evangelist to setup in their courtyard and blast out poorly sung gospel music--even louder than the AC unit--until after 11:30 pm and I had small children I was trying to get to sleep by 10:00 pm.”

“All in all not a very bad hotel. Would probably stay again if in area.”

  • Nothing.
  • Had Live singers from 7pm until 1130pm that could be heard loudly inside room.

“The rooms were deceiving from the pictures online. The free breakfast was stale little Debbie cakes. Hotel receptionist walked around lobby without shoes. Worst stay we every experienced in a hotel. Loud singing that went on both nights until 11:30 pm. We had to change rooms twice. The first one was a smoking room and we had reserved nonsmoking. The second one had a leak from the room above it that flooded the bathroom.”

  • Location.
  • Staff, room, amenities.

“This hotel was adequate. It was in a great location, however, the room did not meet our expectations. The carpeted floor continuously got wetter due to a faulty air conditioner. We were not even allowed to check in on time because our room wasn't ready. The pools were both dirty, cloudy, and over chlorinated. The complimentary coffee wasn't always fresh when it was even brewed. The mini-fridge was dirty. The shower would not stay a continuous temperature as well as the shower heads being too low to be effective for anyone over 4'5". The stay was only saved by our families intent on having a good time. And We did.”

Cleanliness:[5] • Staff:[5] • Location:[5]

  • It had a hair dryer and coffee pot.
  • It was very outdated, not like the photo at all.

“The photo shows a new building with private balconies and that is what I was expecting. There is such a building here, but it is separate from the building we stayed in and much more expensive. Our building was very outdated, musty and not comfortable.”

  • Location.
  • Was not as it was pictured , rooms were cheaper at the hotel than I paid of.

“Nice staff , rooms were ok and clean but they were not as advertised very, very small pool and only a few suites had balcony. On the river don't be fooled by the pictures.”
