“Overall, the hotel was ok. It was clean, but
very small. The bathroom needed to be updated. Old TV in room, and I could hear people sneeze in the next room (thin walls).”

“Bad: The shower was leaky and when we came it there was water all over the bathroom floor. We had to put towels down. When we tried to take a shower it turned on and off after two minutes! Good: The hotel was one block over from Times Square. It is located near all of the broad-way shows!”

“The lobby is pretty good, it seems to be safe with the security staff that check who go to the elevators, the position is excellent, but the cleanliness of the room and bathroom was very bad.”

“I would never stay at this hotel again because the staff was so rude at check in. They were lacking in customer service skills to say the least. The hotel is in major need of a renovation (wall paper falling off walls, tiles and sinks were cracked, carpet was dirty, etc).”

“We were very pleased with our stay! We flew in on a red eye and were able to get an early check in at 9 am! The room was mostly clean (except the hard to reach places) and actually larger than anticipated for New York. We were within walking distance of so much - Central Park, Times Square, Empire State Building, Theatre District and the subways were nearby if we needed to catch one of those. While there isn't a restaurant within the hotel, there are just out the front door.”

“Not the most upscale, but clean and comfortable and incredibly convenient to the Subway and Time Square. Great value for the price.”

“Small room for the price, but it was very comfortable, clean and convenient. I felt it was very safe and affordable for the price.”

“If you want to stay in a room the size of a walk in or janitor's closet, then this is the place for you.”

“The best thing this hotel has going for it is its location. Right next the Broadway; it certainly is convenient for seeing shows. But its rooms are extremely tight and cramped - barely enough room for 2 people. No outlets in the room at all - poor quality beds, noisy A/C, and in general it was old. Definitely not recommended if you have a child with you - there will be no room at all. Perhaps European travelers are used to rooms that small, but us Americans like a little more room.”

“It exceeded our expectations. For the excellent low price, we thought the quality would be less. For the most part, everything was clean and the maids were good. Again, the location was perfect, as we were going to 3 Broadway plays.”

“I have to say we were nothing short of shocked when we first saw these rooms. The bathroom barely had enough room for one person with old fixtures, short mirrors and water that ran hot to cold every 7 seconds (yes, I counted). These rooms reminded me of the fleabag motels I would stay in when I was on a college budget many years ago. I would never recommend this hotel, ever. The only plus is that the staff was nice.”

“The location was great. The room was small but I am sure every room in New York is. There just isn't a whole lot of space in the city. My husband, son and I felt comfortable and safe. We would stay there again.”

“It was cheap enough. The ambience is too bust to be friendly. Maintenance replaced my air conditioner twice, and still it didn't work; so they moved me to another room (larger, thank God) and the air conditioner there was not much better. Attentive security so attentive that local restaurants cannot deliver food to rooms. Overcrowded elevators make picking up food from the lobby quite difficult. My wife and I had to wait through 5 full elevator cars, on one occasion, before we could leave our floor.”

“The Milford Plaza consistently garners high marks for the best room for the money in the NYC theater district. It suffers, however, from the familiar NYC economy room problem as it was too small. Take notes it is undergoing renovations now.”
