• Excellent room size, quality, comfort & modern design. Friendly staff. Great views.
• Not particularly close to the subway, but walk able in 10 min to Grand Central.

“We were very pleased with the hotel. A very nice lobby and excellent views from our room on the 37th floor of the UN, Empire State & Chrystler bldg. Friendly staff and a large room with a king bed and a couch made the stay very comfortable. A little far from the subway, but walk able in 10 min to Grand Central.”

• Very well located in Manhattan for a reasonable price.
• The price of the parking was too high.

“The hotel is located in a residential area with several restaurants and delicatessens nearby. Unfortunately, if you go by car you need to pay a considerable amount per night. The rooms are comfortable and provide the visitors with a great view of the city. I would seriously recommend it to a friend.”

• Convenient to many places and attractions.
• The room was very old and outdated, especially the bathroom.

“It was a very welcoming hotel, from the lobby to the staff, but the rooms were not what I had anticipated. Being it a 3 star hotel, I expected a bit of a nicer room.”

• Great location with a unique view of the city (which is quite rare).
• A bit far from the nearest Subway station.

“The hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was lovely, the view exquisite, and the staff polite and responsive. The hotel features a great concierge service that is quite helpful when planning a day's trip in the city.”

• Hair in room and in bathtub could've been a bit cleaner.

• The view from this hotel was amazing, very nice.
• Not close to main attractions and Subway stops.

“This hotel was very nice, and had an amazing view from our window. The view from the pool room was equally amazing. The only drawback was that it was a little bit of a walk from the closest Subway stop (Grand Central Station) and not close to any of the main attractions (e.g., Times Square). I thought it was a safe location and felt comfortable walking around in that neighborhood.”

• It was absolutely beautiful inside with a spectacular view outside.
• The sink faucet leaked and was hard to turn so that it didn't.

• Old, dated, needs some renovation.

“Can't complain about the price or the location, but its pretty dated and in some serious need of renovation. Huge rooms, clean enough, but I'm sure there is much better in NYC.”

“Perfect hotel for a quick stay in the City. Valet parking was convenient. My only gripe is the front desk staff-very disorganized. But otherwise, just what I was looking for.”

• No room service after 11 p.m.

“Good, basic hotel in NYC. Linen and towels not 4 star, no bathrobes, etc. but for a large, clean room with a great view.”

“My stay was fantastic. The room was great. Went to the pool: also great. It exceeded my highest expectations, and was decently located in the middle of the city, so I was able to travel around easily by foot or by cab.”

• Good view.
• No ice bucket in room, no coffee maker, no bath towels.

“They went too far overboard trying to extract extra money from me. Had to call for ice, had to call for towels, had to call for coffee. Everything was more $ for things I normally get included. They forgot to put towels in the room, then when I called dripping wet from the shower, they told me to wait 1 hour until the next shift of housekeeping came in!”

• Paid for toll free calls, paid $46 to park car! Cheap beds.

“For a NYC 3 star hotel, the stay was ok. I'm a southerner, so I'm used to free parking and continental breakfast! The hotel staff was excellent, the room attractive. The beds seemed to be off lesser quality than other 3 star beds.”

• Great location and the hotel staff were extremely helpful, friendly and responsive.
• The bed frame squeaked and mattress quality was less than expected.

“Overall, a tremendous value for the price. Great location offering easy access to all the action, while being removed from the immediate noise, hustle & bustle. The hotel staff was very personable & extremely responsive. Benchmark. Only complaints, the bed wasn't very comfortable, somewhat lumpy and the frame squeaked. Also, breakfast buffet highly overpriced for the quality and selection of food.”

• My view was of the Southside and was spectacular.
• Massage/spa not really top quality.

“The bathroom is very old, bathtub was peeling and floor tiles were cracked. The room is spacious and there is a sofa to relax on instead of the bed. Larger than some European style rooms. Has a mini bar but no coffee service. If there was ice on my floor I could not find it. Overall, a very good experience. A lot of customers from all over the world. Restaurant is not a big seller but convenient and good food.”

• The pool needs later evening hours.

“Overall, a delightful experience, especially if you enjoy the design of the 1970's. Its dated in a pure and delightful way, especially the mirrored public rooms and bar! And loads of dark green marble!”
