“I rather live in a frugal hotel in Manhattan. And save money to dine at fancy restaurants every night. Hotel is not worth at all.”

• The room was small (as most NYC rooms are). But it was very nice.
• There was nothing that I didn't like.

“I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the room. It was also in a great location. I would definitely stay here again!”

• Friendly staff, clean, and modern.
• Small rooms but for Manhattan that was expected.

“Very satisfied with the hotel selection. Good location on 25th St bet. 6th and 7th Aves., within walking distance of major mid town attractions such as Empire State building, Madison Square Garden, Macy's. A short walk to times square/bway theaters. Felt safe walking back to hotel after bway shows after 10 pm. Nearby Subway stations will take you all over the city. The hotel looked to be just a few years old so quite modern and very clean. Staff was friendly. Rooms were small and beds were full size and not queen size but we made it work.”

• Friendly, helpful staff.
• Hot water and TV kept going out. Very inconvenient.

“The hot water went out twice and although I didn't watch television much every time I did it went out. We ended up in Chelsea. Our hotel was 25 blocks to Time Square which was a lot further then I wanted to be (10 blocks would have been more reasonable). Plus the street that my hotel was on was very trashy and I felt unsafe. Not what I would expect of a 3 star hotel.”

• Friendly staff, clean, good location (IE safe and convenient).
• Lacking cable TV channels-very ltd channel selection.

“Very comfortable, safe, convenient. Accommodating, friendly staff. Provided most of expected amenities, very clean. Was surprised to find I was able to open a window for fresh air- I have never found that in the city.”

• Staff was always very friendly and welcoming.
• Needed shelving and hooks in bathroom.

“The beds were extremely comfortable. The staff was always very friendly. The front desk personnel always greeted you with a welcome back when you came through the door and the housekeepers were always cheerful & friendly when you went by them in the hallway. The bartender was awesome. Room was clean. The bathrooms could use some shelving for toiletries and more hooks for towels. Very decent place to stay.”

• It was clean and modern. Nice size rooms for NYC. Comfortable beds.
• Needs coffee makers & fridges and more counter space in bathroom- also Queen Beds would be better.

“This is a quite attractive hotel and modern. The location is mid-town NYC and close to 3 Subway lines. The staff was very nice and helpful. The rooms are pretty large for NYC but could use coffee makers, ridges and more bathroom counter space.”

• The rooms were very small.

“The location of this hotel is very convenient because it is close to three different Subway lines and there is also a Whole Foods Market half a block away. We had asked three rooms for our group but the hotel did not take into consideration our request for specific rooms types eg.: king bed, two queens etc. The rooms were clean and they were serviced promptly every day. Our room faced onto W25th St which made it difficult to fall asleep because of the street noise.”

• Easy to deal with the staff -- they didn't charge for every extra service, like receiving packages!
• I was on the second floor, and the light from the sign was a bit too bright -- should have better window covering for that room.

“Very nice hotel -- comfortable & quiet. The staff were friendly, and provide excellent service. Great location! I'd recommend it and stay there again.”

“One thing I need to mention is that when I arrived the hotel at midnight, I was told due to the weather that there is no rooms available and they have to sent me to another hotel (in the midnight!). I was transferred to another hotel (not very good quality and the room is rusty smell). But I do went back the next 2 nights.”

“I'm not satisfied with this stay at all. First, the windows are to thin to hear anything outside (police car alarms, fight on the street, car honked) so that we couldn't sleep at all. Second, the buildings and rooms are old, dirty, and small. Third, before we checked-in, we requested to add our names in the receipt so that we can reimburse, and the hotel said OK (I have the email for proof). However, when we checked-out, the staff said they don't have the receipt for us. To tell the truth, I will never stay in your hotel and won't recommend it to my colleagues.”

“The place was fine enough but there were three problems I encountered -a white strobe light eminating all night long from the smoke alarm (it did not alert the front desk but fortunately there was no problem), the window shades gave the choice of either all up or all down - so to have any privacy in the room you had to have the shades totally down, and unfortunately my room was next to some "swingers" so there was knocking on their door every hour which woke me up every hour. The place was fine - the circumstances were not.”
