• The staff, service, location, price and cleanliness of the hotel easily met our expectations.
• There was no view from our room, which was expected. I am sure you could get a room with a view for more money.

“The Washington Square Hotel is in the perfect location. It is a very quaint, charming hotel where the staff is friendly. The room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. We were able to keep our luggage there before it was time to check into the hotel and for a few hours after we checked out so we could enjoy the city a bit more before we went home.”

• The one restaurant was ok and the location was good.
• The size of the room was horrible.

“Overall, a good location but the staff was just ok, the room was barely the size of a closet and the beds were as hard as the counter tops. They had no valet witch meant you had to park down the street at $45 a day!”

• Location near Greenwich village is excellent. Hotel is a lot of fun because of all the performers from the nearby universities.
• The elevators were slow so we waited a bit for them.

“The hotel is a great value for New York City. Nearby Greenwich and SOHO are great for Gay and lesbian travelers. Nearby 5th Avenue sends a lot of cabs by the front door so a ride is always easy to get. There are an abundance of great places to eat within walking distance. The staff was always helpful courteous and accommodating. I made a reservation for my next stay in New York before leaving.”

• Cheap but nice - GREAT location.
• Lack of Internet connection in the room.

“It had a 1920's "Untouchable's) feel, with the very basic amenities. Great location. For someone who doesn't care if their not staying at the Ritz, but still wants a nice place that isn't Budget Inn, this is your place. Perfect for 20- something going to the city for a weekend.”
