  • The exceptional staff and location and comfort of room.
  • Window looking out to cement wall.

“We were pleasantly surprised at the location of hotel so close to central park/great shopping etc. Rooms are moderate, attractive and okay size for NYC. Wonderful bathroom amenities (Kiehl's) Stand out 5 star staff. Thanks for a great night.”

  • Small spaces.

“It is little expensive but it is ok because of the location. They have very friendly staff. Be careful when you call a cab or shuttle; the hotel is not on Columbus circle, it is on 58th street between 8th and 9th AVE. (another entry to Columbus circle). Because of the confusing address my shuttle did not come and I almost missed the flight.”

“The staff was excellent, courteous and knowledgeable. Very accommodating and friendly. The rooms were appointed nicely, and taken care of twice a day. The hotel Sushi restaurant was EXCELLENT!”

  • Fabulous location! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room was clean.
  • Decor was modern-dark; poor lighting. Room was tiny. Lobby was small.

“The decor was modern - read sleek but dark, the lobby was tiny and so was the room. The bathroom was even smaller but nice. That aside, the staff was fantastic! We were welcomed back - by name - every time we returned to the hotel. Concierge was accommodating and friendly. The location was superb, directly across from the Columbus Circle Subway station, less than a block from Central Park and a short walk to the Theater District. Would want to stay there every time I visit NY!”

  • Quiet, Quaint, Great Location across from mall and Central Park.
  • Nothing.

“We loved our experience at this hotel. Couldn't ask for a better location. Price was great. Staff was wonderful. Attentive, Friendly, Helpful. My wife wants to stay here again the next time we come into the city. We couldn't have been happier with our choice.”

  • Brand new, Modern - not your typical looking hotel and convenient location.
  • Small room but nothing different than other NYC hotels I stayed at.

  • The shower was fantastic! The bed so comfortable!
  • Very small room and bed.

“This is a lovely, modern boutique hotel. The bed and room were very tiny but so comfortable. The flat screen was great and the shower was extraordinary. The decor was wonderful and service delightful. Location! We ran in C.P and were across from The Time Warner Building which has a very exclusive and scenic bar.”

“Despite being awarded a reservation at Six Columbus Circle several weeks in advance, upon arrival I was told that there are no rooms available. They arranged for a room for me at the Hotel on the same block; however, it is a 3-star hotel that does not offer the 4-star amenities. Since I had plans for the evening which did not leave much time to get settled in my room, get dressed, etc. I did not object and went along with the switch. The lobby and common areas of the hotel are well designed, very attractive, and spacious just the opposite of the closet they called a room which they put me in. Long story short, the room was claustrophobic small. I kept hitting my elbow on the wall while attempting to dry off after taking a shower in the bathroom due to limited space. They had one of those mini ironing boards with no legs, a futon instead of a bed, plastic cups, and a little TV smaller than my computer monitor. The experience was a disaster. Six Columbus Circle failed to honor their agreement with Priceline and me.”

“While the staff was extra nice and the lobby and restaurant exude cool, the room at this hotel was tiny, dark and had a view of the very close building across the alley. In fact, the room was so tiny that my wife kept banging her knee against the bed as she tried to negotiate the room.”

  • The hotel had some kind of furry walls in the common areas.

“Like any NYC hotel, the room was very small. The bathroom was nice and clean. The description of the hotel says it overlooks the park. Our room did had a view of another building and I can't see how any of the rooms could view the park. The decor of the room was nice and the sheets were very soft. I also liked that they had an umbrella in the wardrobe.”

  • Tiny room with almost no natural light, bugs in the bathroom and on the bed, birdpoop on the windows.

“What a shocking disappointment Six Columbus was. I was really looking forward to staying at a Thompson hotel but this place is frankly shameful. As soon as I saw the room, I returned to the front desk to try to change it. It was small, with literally not enough room to open my suitcase except on the queen-sized bed; I've stayed in the Hudson whose rooms are smaller and I was quite comfortable there. I knew I would be claustrophobic and depressed with this view and couldn't face staying here for eight nights. Silverfish in the bathroom - centipede-like bugs - running around like they own the place. Bugs in the bed - literally 1/4 inch bugs running around over the bedclothes. Given the lack of response from the general manager I didn't report this until I checked out - I even showed photos to the front desk manager didn't even take off my $12 minibar charge as some sort of token compensation. It's a shame, because other than that miserable check-in clerk, the staff are generally friendly and the bellhops always welcome you back when you return from a day on the town. The turndown service comes with cute brownies, and the toiletries are of high quality except for the no-name soap.”

  • Address was wrong, causing confusion. Very-modern, more of a boutique hotel rather than the usual 4 star hotels, lack of vegetarian options.

“This is an exciting hotel with a postmodern feel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location is not actually at 6 Columbus circle, but on 58th St which was a source of confusion. Amenities were comfortable. No coffee maker, and star bucks next door was kind of crowded.”
