“The room was only so-so. I expected a lot more from a crown plaza but was disappointed.”

• It was close to downtown.
• Poor staff assistance..

“The hotel was a nice place to stay, however we encountered a few problems. 1. It took 3 calls over 2 days to get the roll away that we requested. 2. Our bathroom apparently had a sewer problem, because our room always smelled bad. We also noticed on the wall above one of the headboards a crusty white dried substance that had been there for some time. 3. During our 1 week stay we asked only one time for housekeeping the rest of the time we tidied our room ourselves and told housekeeping to skip us. On that one day our beds were made up again with the same sheets that had cookie crumbs from our kids on them and the room was not dusted. and last but not least 4. We ordered room service from the hotel restaurant. Not only were the prices high, but half of our order was not even correct.”

• The location of this hotel was outstanding, directly across from two shopping malls and restaurants!
• I can't think of anything except the staff was not all that friendly, just rather bland acting.

“The hotel lobby was very spacious, the rooms were clean and looked newly renovated. It was located in a busy area very close to wonderful shopping and nice restaurants. The area is a little congested with traffic but there is plenty of room to park for free at the hotel. For the price, a great stay.”

• Convenient for this trip.
• Spa didn't work properly, there was too much chlorine also.

“Liked it overall. Fit the purpose perfectly. Convenient location to Metro for trip to DC and also convenient to Interstate highway system. In great area with superb shopping. Good restaurants nearby.”

• The rooms were clean and very well layed out and furnished.
• The shower would turn off more then once while I was taking a shower. Very frustrating.

“In general the building was hard to find and the traffic patterns in and around the hotel due to construction didn't help. However upon arriving I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the facility and my room and how nice things were in general. However, I was extremely frustrated when both mornings my shower would stop working for no apparent reason or would have very minimal flow. Sometimes it would take as many as 3 or 4 times of turning the handle off and back on before I could get the water to turn back on. Then when I complained about it to the front desk the gentleman at the time made me feel like my concerns were no big deal and it felt like he simply brushed me off by saying someone would look at it. Even if he did indeed have someone look at it the next morning the same thing happened. This was so maddening that it literally discounted all the other positive things I saw with this facility. This is what I would consider hotel 101, make sure your showers work!”

• Great Staff, Great Room, Comfy bed and Great Breakfast.

“The Crown Plaza in Tyson's Corner was great. The person at the front desk was very friendly and upgraded us at check in. The room was very clean, large flat screen TV and a great king size bed. We were only there over night, but the lobby and other areas of the hotel seemed very nice. We did have breakfast in the morning prior to checking out and it was very good as well. I would stay here again in the future and for the price, was fabulous.”

• I was impressed with the staff and the cleanliness of the room.

“I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel and how comfortable it was. It was a little difficult to find for those entirely unfamiliar with the area, so better directions would be helpful. The guest services staff was great and the 1pm checkout time was very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.”

• The amenities were nice, staff was friendly and helpful.
• Room service, dinner and hotel buffet breakfast were abysmal

“It was pretty, centrally located, and quiet. I liked that the parking was plentiful and free and that the pool was indoors. Bring your own food or sample any of many nearby restaurants. Do not waste your money on the breakfast buffet, which was lousy and limited, or on room service, which was only slightly less lousy. There are plentiful restaurants nearby in every price range. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and accomodating to my needs as a nursing mother, which I appreciated.”

• location is convenient for me to go to my favorite places
• The hotel staff is not well-trained. Poor quality of room facilities

“During check-in, I asked for a king-size room but they offered me a two double-room without giving me an explanation. My family was locked out and couldn't get into the room and it took 20 min for the hotel to sent someone to take a look and almost half an hour to fix it. The used towels and garbage in the room were not cleaned up after housekeeping. Also, although housekeeping placed two new bags of coffee for me, but not sugars. Housekeeping did not speak English, you can't communicate with them. I asked for extra towels during the check-in, but they did not give me extra towels during housekeeping everyday. So disappointed with the hotel. Won't stay again and recommend to friends or people who is going to stay in the same place.”

• Location to our points of interest, very helpful staff, comfortable, clean
• Pool hours are SO limited a family with kids can not enjoy the pool during the day!

“We arrived earlier than expected and were delighted we were able to check into a room! Everyone was polite & helpful. When we called for more towels for our room the front desk called our room to be sure they had been delivered! We would be happy to return to this hotel.”

• Very unfriendly.

“The room was tiny for 2 double beds. There was no hot water one day, we waited for the shuttle and was completely ignored and overlooked for a larger party of tourists, a sure tip thats what they were looking for. There was no complimentary breakfast. All the coffee in room sugar creamer was not replaced or the towels come to that.”

• The GPS directions went through a street under construction.
