• It was fairly cheap.
• It was not clean and we lost a bag here.

“I do not recommend this hotel. There were literally still a number of other people's hairs (not from their heads) in our shower and the shower curtain had a fairly Nasty stain on it. We came back the second night after being out all day and one of our bags was missing - my wife's makeup bag. The management did nothing about this and suggested that it had been accidentally thrown away, though it was not possible to mistake this particular bag for trash. Add this to the fact that there was nothing particularly charming about the hotel, and we basically didn't enjoy our stay much.”

• The sheets and towels were clean.
• The room needed major detail work. The paint was chipping and dirty.

“I would not recommend this place to anyone nor will I ever stay there again. The place was dirty and very unpleasant.”

• Liked location and room rates.
• Wished the restaurant mentioned would be opened.

“Not the best hotel but good room rates and clean rooms. This is the first hotel you see once passing the CC/Portland Bridge. Not very many places near this hotel.”

• Location on the bay.
• Walls had holes in it. Room had an odor. Bathroom was dirty. Faucets leaked. Floor dirty with cereal /trash left from last occupant.

“This hotel should invest some of their money into infra structure. It was in poor condition for the prices they charged. While we were checking in someone walked in and they were going to charge them $113 per night. I would price the rooms at 35-40 based on condition. The staff was hovering to get in and clean. I did not feel safe here. We took extra precautions with our car and personal items. It did provide us shelter and there were no visible bugs or anything.”

• Staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating.
• The food choice for breakfast was poor.

“It was clean but the carpet was worn through, The toilet didn't flush very efficiently.”

• It was in Portland, Texas.
• The location of the pool was to close to the highway and there was no continental breakfast.

• Nothing.
• Room stinks, paint in bathtub peeling (yeah paint), small bed.

“This was the worst hotel I've EVER been in. The room was about 10x15, a TV, a table (no chair), no drawers, the paint in the bathtub was peeling (why was the bathtub painted?), the walls were cracked, the bed was small and soft, the room stunk so bad. I requested a refund and they refused to give the whole refund, only one night they would refund. The manager was rude and stated, "I am not willing to refund the whole weekend, if you want that, take it up with Headquarters. Its policy."... yet she could not show me anywhere where this alleged "policy" was. It wasn't written down anywhere, just her word that it was policy. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.”

• Once the manager came, he cleared up the statement of the clerk ("We don't accept Price-Line.") AND was helpful with the State Tax Exemption process.
• The hundreds (maybe thousands) of ANTS.

“Unfortunately, we visited on a busy weekend (apparently) as all locations in Corpus Christi seemed to be booked. This was 10 miles from the area where we needed to be.”

• The View From Our Room Was Incredible!!!
• Ice & Vending Machines weren't close enough!!!

“The stay was great we had an awesome view & the room was HUGE.. The Price was excellent for the room... Looking forward to our weekend in June 2006 when we go to The Coast again...”

• The price was good for the size of the room.
• The doors were coming apart from the walls, how safe.

“Good; however, not very safe in reference to the doors coming off and finding someone else's clothes behind the television. But other than that not bad priced I suppose.”

• Didn't have restaurant as listed in amenities.

“It was clean, had a small clean pool, was located on the bay, had a small fishing dock. It did not have the restaurant, breakfast, or lounge that was listed in the amenities.”
