  • Everything. I loved staying at the Jupiter hotel and plan on staying there every time I go to Portland.

“Friendly staff, clean rooms, great place in general.”

  • Nothing.
  • This is not hotel it's motel and just for party and drunks only.

“I am sorry indeed surprised at this hotel was very bad and is located in the unsafe zone and there were many of drunks, and homeless.”

  • Very fun and Unique.
  • Location, upbeat atmosphere, chalk board doors, really comfortable bed. Eco-friendly products.

“There were lot of things close to the motel to do, including a great concert (Rise Against, Alkaline Trio, Thrice and Gaslight Anthem Tour!) at the Roseland that we went to.”

  • The uniqueness of it.
  • Room was too minimally furnished.

“While my wife and I will always remember this trip with fondness and a bit of humor, we probably won't go back.

  • Great location.
  • You could not turn bathroom light on or off.

“Great hotel!”

  • Hip and trendy.
  • Small room.

“The Jupiter Hotel has a European flair and is a hip hang out for the under forty traveler. The on site bar and restaurant is popular with the locals. Try Le Pelican on the next block for a memorable culinary experience.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[7]

  • Nice parking, lounge and restaurant.
  • Too loud at night.

“Live music every night, after party until 2 AM. Room that I had was above the outdoor patio off the lounge. It sounded like I was at the party. Very little sleep was had. Small room, no desk. I'd come here to play but not for business.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[10] • Location:[1]

  • The outside patio.
  • Music was loud not for older people or children.

“The hotel shocked the hell out of us. Loud music partying all night the location wasnt the best. The service was good but the different surroundings should be included in the Jupiter website. Fun for younger people, not families or older people.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[10] • Location:[5]

  • Close to downtown and convenient to SE Portland.
  • Facility seemed dated and run down.

“The Jupiter Hotel is attempting to reach young travelers who are value oriented and can survive on minimalist accommodations. It feels young, hip and fresh.”

Cleanliness:[5] • Staff:[6] • Location:[4]

  • Nice restaurant area.
  • This is a party motel, not a place to get a nights rest. Party's in open outdoor spaces until 2:00 am.

“This a retro 60's motel w/ IKEA type furnishings. Nothing good to sit on in the room. No remote. Outdoor spaces, although attractive w/fire pit are connected to the bar and designed for 20 and 30 year olds to "gather" until 2:00 am. Noise in room from outdoor goings on was unacceptable. I am a business traveler there for a good nights sleep.”

  • Alternative atmosphere and excellent location.
  • Phone issues.

“Very interesting hotel with alternative lifestyle aurora. Staff was helpful and rooms were clean. A bit more noise at night than some would like but hotel was good about getting me a quieter room. Not a family hotel but good if you are on a later schedule.”

  • The Hip factor.
  • Very Loud music venue & outside bar scene rooms very poorly soundproof.

“Great if your there for the party scene. Not so great if you have to get up at 6:30 a.m. and give a day long presentation.”

  • Staff super nice.

“Cool hotel and good bar downstairs. This is a definite young person place to be almost like a hostel. The staff was super friendly and polite, but a little young. Seemed to have some issues with checking in which I a.m. hoping have been corrected.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[10] • Location:[5]

  • Unique dcor.
  • Can be loud.

“Great for younger people, not a very good choice for families, older travelers or business travelers. Rooms are minimalist but very comfortable beds. Water temperature can be finicky at times. Bar/restaurant was good, moderately priced also. Between the concert venue and the outdoor patio it can be loud late at night, but there are free earplugs in the rooms. Fun & unique, would definitely stay again.”

Cleanliness:[3] • Staff:[7] • Location:[2]

  • It had a bed and hot water.
  • Extremely loud music sponsored by hotel every night!

“Not appropriate for family or business. I had to sign a waiver that I would be quiet after 2 AM and I would not complain about the deafening music till then. At least there were condoms and ear plugs provided. So nice, you should immediately remove this hotel from your roster I could not have been more disappointed if I had tried.”

  • Easy access.
  • Party hotel, loud at all hours.

“The room was very clean and the staff was friendly. Definitely made for a bachelor and parking in the garage is expensive.”

  • The location and the price. These 2 things made up for all the slightly crummy things about the hotel.
  • Really loud one night when their was a huge party outside out window (200ppl). Had to wear earplugs. Parking was scarce.

“This hotel has it's bad sides such as inconsistent hot water during showers, minimal parking, and slightly small rooms but it was all made up for my the price of the room and the proximity to downtown. We loved our stay! The room was minimally designed which was nice because it was small and minimilastic approach made it feel clean and bigger. The front desk is pretty totally has a hipster cooler-than-thou attitude but they are very accommodating. I will totally try to stay there again when we return to Portland. My boyfriend and I are in our late 20's and stayed at the Jupiter Hotel for 5 nights. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for senior citizens or families due to the fact that there could be a raging Star Wars themed party outside your window at minute with a DJ blasting "Funky Town" until 1 in the morning.”

  • The location was bad and the signs for the hotel made it seem like it was a whore house.

“We drove around the hotel and decided not to stay. The area was bad. It is definitely not the place
for mom.”

Cleanliness:[2] • Staff:[4] • Location:[8]

  • Nothing.
  • It made me sick.

“The toilet rocked like a rocking chair. Instead of mints on the pillow there were .s on the bed table. It took ten minutes for the shower to get warm enough to use. The room smelled horrible.”
