“Although the rooms are not attractive, they are comfortable. Comfort combined with the location of the hotel means we would stay here again.”

“This hotel matches up with its 3 star rating in every way. It was clean, convenient and pleasant. The staff was more than helpful. A front desk person found me a cup of coffee at 4:00 am at our departure.”

“Overall okay, but there was a smoker on our floor in this "non smoking" hotel. We told the staff two different times about this as there were 2 instances of smoking. It finally stopped smelling.”

“Parking was convenient, though too costly. Location excellent. Service good, but the restaurant could offer a larder menu. The safety deposit box was great and the young woman who handled it was very good. The service at the desk was well above average.”

“The good news first. The beds were fantastic and the location is exactly where I wanted to be. There was no lobby to speak of, no pool or spa, the restaurant was so-so and the staff was unexceptional. Not a bad experience, just certainly not a 4 star luxury hotel.”

“I would not stay here again. Both my husband and I said that we would gladly pay more to stay in a four star next time. We couldn't even start our day, which was busy, until the afternoon, because we couldn't take a shower.”

“This is small hotel with a boutique feel to it. The restaurant is situated nicely with a view of the park and river, and has a fireplace. Cozy on those rainy Portland nights. The proximity to Downtown shopping and public transportation is excellent. I would recommend this hotel to friends.”

“This is a perfect place to stay if you want to be down town. The light rail system stops less than a block from the hotel. Very easy to get from the airport to the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms and bath rooms were super clean and large. I was very pleased with the hotel and would stay there again.”

“If you're just looking for a place to sleep, with no extra perks, this may be a good fit for you. Unless you're hoping for your room to have Wi-Fi, then maybe not so much. The first night of our stay we were overbooked and sent down the road, and then when we came back, the staff was not very helpful, took a long time to answer the phone (7 8 rings, normal operating hours). We were also not given the option of how many beds we wanted, just given a 2 queen room. The only good thing about staying here was being overbooked the first night.”

“Excellent location. We took the train from the Portland airport to the hotel. Very easy, very cheap. And then took public transport all around Portland. Very central location!”

“Overall the hotel was nice but I lost sleep the first nights because the guy in the next room kept calling my room and waking me up the front desk did nothing about it. Next morning the housekeeper woke me up at 8am despite the do not disturb sign on the door. She banged on the door every half hour until I left the room. Next day, same thing. So I paid for a room I could not sleep in. I am not happy about this hotel stay.”

“The desk clerk asked me to please wait an hour -- given that I was going to be in Portland for only one evening, I found this offensive. Eventually I was offered a different type of room, but wound up on the second floor, which proved problematic for noise. I would highly recommend reducing it to 2.5 stars on your service, and lowering your price agreements accordingly.”

“Front desk staff was slow, unable to provide info on how to access better parking across the street. Room was stuffy, thermostat did not allow guest to modify room temp. Hot water in shower was lukewarm at best.”

“Comfortable, great location. Rooms are spacious and clean when you first arrive. The heat in our room didn't work and the front desk's solution was a space heater that created quite a bit of noise. Housekeeping did a poor job making up the room though. I complained at checkout, and to my surprise and satisfaction, they waived the parking fees.”

“If you're looking for a location convenient to downtown, public transportation, and the waterfront park for a reasonable price, this hotel is fine. Although the entrance and lobby have no ambience, the rooms are clean, with modern furniture although a bit "tired". The rooms facing the river and park have excellent views. The traffic noise can be a bit loud, though.”

“A five story hotel, more like a motel really, the rooms were spacious and big windows give big views. Stay away from the north side where screeching train wheels turn corners. Nice restaurant with good food and reasonable prices.”
