• Attractive, large room, good amenities.
• Bathroom was a little small.

“Was pleasantly surprised at this hotel's appearance and service received a welcome phone call offering any assistance we might need. Breakfast was very varied and food was good. All in all and enjoyable stay.”

• Early breakfast bag to take. Friendly afternoon staff.
• Smoking room and smelled like it.

“The hotel was nice but I was early as I had traveled from the east coast. Front desk gentlemen was knowledgeable but could only tell me to 'come back after 3'.”

• 1st hotel was flawless, second door locks malfunctioned system wide.
• 2nd hotel had broken food service equipment, sauna was broken.

“Country Inn and Suites at the Portland Airport was a pleasure to stay at. The staff was friendly and cheerful. The rooms were clean and the facility was well kept. The morning meal was excellent and the service above and beyond. The second hotel La Quinta Portland Northwest was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Their facility was old and poorly maintained. Their staff was either indifferent or overwhelmed with a failing computer room lock/entry system. The staff's only solution was to continue issuing a multitude of new keys the never ending stream of worried and locked-out customers. We had 5 keys after one day, none of which worked. We felt that it made the facility less than secure, being in a marginal, industrial area. They had broken restaurant equipment and a very poor offering of a free breakfast. The sauna was out of order.”

• Staff was very nice. Rooms large. Place clean and safe.

• Overall it was comfortable and has great facilities.
• We did not like the mattresses and pillows.

“It is a great place to stay and we love the idea that it has a variety of choices for breakfast items. We were not very happy that it did not accommodate free parking while away on our trip.”

• Getting a smoking room when we are not smokers.

“Nice place overall. Staff really would not go out of there way however to get us a non smoking room. The smoking room just killed it for us.”

• I liked the friendly staff and the free shuttle rides within 5 miles.
• It was a half hour Max ride to the city.

“I really enjoyed my stay at Country Inn and Suites. The staff was very friendly and I had plenty of room. The bed was comfortable as well. One extra bonus is their book lending program.”

• Hotel location is good with vehicle; staff was friendly and very helpful with finding nearby food / malls.
• The air condition in the hotel room was very noisy.

“Very good 3-star hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful, nice location if you drive your own vehicle. The breakfast buffet is decent. One down-side was the A/C in the room was very noisy.”

• Would like more healthy breakfast options.

“Enjoyed the hotel very much. Loved the pool and hot tub though request they be open longer hours. Rooms were clean, airport location very convenient. Staff was very helpful.”

• Shower head, wall paper border falling off in bathroom.

“I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for inexpensive and close to the airport. It was clean and the people were friendly.”

• The food was good.
• The beds were hard the pool and hot tub was dirty.

“The hotel was nice the staff was great but we stayed because there was a pool and hot tub and breakfast but we were let down the pool was cold the hot tub was cold and dirty and they wouldnt do anything about it. The beds were very uncomfortable. Overall I will never stay there again especially for the price.”

• Doors on the forth floor constantly slamming closed.

“This hotel is small but comfortable. Slamming forth floor room doors kept me awake most of the night. Good food, small bar, nice indoor pool, staff friendly. I would stay there again if they fixed the slamming doors.”

• Warm reception, excellent breakfast timing and options, quick response from well-informed staff, great beds.
• Not much, it was all good.

“I was both a business traveler and a senior leisure traveler during this trip, and the hotel met or exceeded my expectations on both levels. My daughter had flown in from FL for a very quick visit, and the hotel made both of us, albeit different generations and different needs, quite comfortable. We'll definitely stay there again, whether together or separate.”

• Small fitness room, but liked that I could see outside from the fitness room.

• I loved the pool, spa, and exercise facilities!
• I did not like staying in a smoking room, I smelled like smoke for a whole day.

“This was a great hotel, great services (hotel pick-up) and facilities. As we arrived late, we didn't have a choice to change rooms, and our stay was therefore not as comfortable as it could have been. Otherwise, we were completely satisfied.”
