• Lovely old building on the outside but nice modern facilities inside. Excellent central location.
• I requested two adjacent rooms but was not allocated this.

“This was a very nice hotel in an excellent position for seeing Stratford. All the facilities in the room were very nice and clean. The arrangements for breakfast were a little unclear so more information on this would have been useful. It was excellent”

• The hotel itself, the room & the friendliness of the staff.
• The room was a bit noisy & chilly with a street lamp directly outside the bedroom window.

“I worked at the Falcon for three years upon leaving college in 1968. I had never stayed there before and it was quite an experience to be staying in the old wing. We didn't see the ghost though! The stay brought back many good memories of the hotel and my home in general and I look forward to staying there again but in happier circumstances I hope.”

• Hotel with a great deal of character
• Near the smoky bar area/smoking in the lounges

“The hotel was up to expectation. The car park was handy and free. The service was quite satisfactory and the price reasonable.”

• Loved the old sixteenth century style and interior of the hotel and the room.
• the lack of a shower but this was not too much of a problem, the bath was fine.

“Excellent hotel, very attractive and comfortable. Evening meal in the restaurant was very good value for money and tasted great. The setting in the centre of Stratford was ideal for an overnight stay and to have wander around the town.”

• Historic building with large clean accommodation
• Room service menu did not offer a good selection

“Our stay was very relaxing and the older parts of the building were beautiful. We found that the central location of the hotel was very convenient and would definitely recommend it.”

• Characterful as we were in the old part!
• No shower, only a bath.

“Given the excellent range of places to eat out for breakfast, lunch & supper we were pleased to have only booked the three rooms for our four night stay.

The evening menu at this hotel is static but the lunchtime specials appeared to vary and we did have one lunch there.

The free car park is a great bonus as Stratford has introduced draconian on-street parking regulations which are inforced with gleeful vigour by the traffic wardens!

All the staff we dealt with maintained a courteous and friendly demeanour which made our stay particularly relaxing and we thank them all for that.”
