The Windsor Saigon Hotel exudes the charm and warmth of a small inn. Yet it is large enough to provide the facilities and services one might expect from a larger deluxe hotel. The building reflects Vietnam's transformation from colonial rule to independence. Originally constructed in 1925 as an apartment house for French colonialists, the hotel was subsequently used as housing for U.S. military officers. In 1993 the building was completely renovated and filled with imported European furnishings and fixtures. Located in the very heart of the city, the Windsor is a friendly oasis of tranquility amidst the hustle and bustle of Saigon.
