“I was disappointed because I expected the bedroom and bathroom to be more special as they were listed as 'superior'. I was slightly disappointed that there wasn't more healthy food on the menu - more fresh fruit and vegetables and some plainer options. ”

“At the price the dinner was not good. The we walked to the local pub the second night and this was better. '7 starters, '18 main course, '19 wine in hotel.Already commented about missing fish but also I think the crayfish in thge starter were iffy!
I would use the hotel again but think twice about eating dinner there!
I have recommended hotel to colleagues but also suggested the dine in the local pub!”

“Overall, the place was wonderful. We stayed in one of the cottages across the road. Not much of an inconvenience, really. Worsley Arms was used extensively during the filming of Brideshead Revisited, hosting some of the crew (actors?), and the place that was used to screen dailies, though the hotel made no mention of it. The food was terrific, and the couple who own the place played a big part in trying to make us comfortable.”

“Or weekend break was made very enjoyable because of the well run and efficient service we received. The hotel provided good value for money and the food at breakfast and at evening meals was of a high standard, freshly cooked and well prepared. We would stop again, as it is ideally placed for exploring the surrounding area. it is an ideal hotel to use if you are going to visit Castle Howard. All details provided on line were accurate and helpful. Booking process very simple.”

“Very nice setting. A minor point but petrol stations are scarce in the area and details would have helped.”
