• Location.
• It was old. The bedding was not clean. The room was very musty smelling.

• Free shuttle to/from airport. Friendliest airport shuttle drivers in Canada.
• Worn mattresses, insufficient room lighting, low-quality heater, 1970's look.

“Pros: free shuttle to/from Vancouver airport. Near IHOP and other restaurants. In-hotel restaurant. Large parking, lot for area. Friendliest airport shuttle drivers in Canada. Cons: in-hotel restaurant undercooks food. Lumpy, worn mattresses. Thin towels. Very slow heater. Dark rooms. Gift Shop sets their hours independent of hours posted on their sign. Overall outdated, 1970's look to the place. Watch out for the fine print when you check-in, they try to get you to check-off a box allowing them to send you junk mail. Overheard staff say that the place was to be demolished in December and rebuilt as a Delta Inn (a Canadian hotel chain).”

• Great location for airport travel. Great friendly staff, nice room.
• Ice, soda etc., had to go down 2 floors. Had to pay for parking.

• Nice size room, very clean
• there is a charge to park your car

“This hotel is slightly difficult to find, although you can see it from the main road. They will charge you a parking fee, but they are far enough from the airport that the fee is not warranted. No complaints with the room or hotel facilities.”

• We had several room changes after having reservations and room assignments for 4 couples

• Family oriented
• It needs 24 hour airport shuttle to handle international travelers.

“This was my first visit to Vancouver and the Park Plaza was the perfect hotel. My family enjoyed it! I should say they had a splashing good time!”

• Hotel van from the airport was nice.
• Room was dark and musty - otherwise okay.

• clean, quiet, nice pool and waterslide. most staff friendly
• one front desk person not friendly, concierge not helpful, took 2 days to provide working coffee maker, pay parking

“The front desk girl was not very friendly and I felt that it was directly related to how much I paid for the room. Pay parking at a hotel is absurd. The concierge was not very well informed on goings on in the city. It took 2 days for our broken coffee maker to be replaced. However, the hotel was very clean and quiet with a nice pool and waterslide for the kids. It had lovely restaurants and was in a good central location. Most of the staff, especially the housekeeping staff, were helpful and friendly.”

• The rooms were old and not refurbished -

“This hotel is fine if you need to be close to the airport. The hotel deserves a good review based on it's lobby and having places to eat. However, the rooms we were in were old and not refurbished and made us feel like we had stepped into the 60's. You could smell smoke from the other rooms from who knows how many years past and you could hear your neighbors very well. Although they are trying - I would wait until they redo the rooms. There were other smaller hotels in the area like Holiday Inn Express etc that looked much newer and cleaner”

• it is ok to stay for overnight.
• Old furnitures, TV etc...

“First of all I stayed in Ramada INN, instead of Park Plaza. We were told that both are same. First room we got was a room with a very bad smell (like a smoking room). When we asked for a change, they put us in another room which is smaller than the earlier one. Here TV was very bad. Remote was not working properly. Worst thing was, Bathroom fan was not even working. When we complained, nobody came to repair. Above all that we need to pay for parking. I won't even recomend this hotel to anybody.”

• Indoor and outdoor pools. Some nice views from the rooms.
• Somewhat confusing entrance, especially with two different named hotels utilizing the same front desk.

• The hotel was convienent to the airport and had in-room take-out menus for local restaurants that delivered to your room.
• The hotel has issues with cleanliness and mold.

“I'm sure this sprawling complex was a very nice property in the 70's but badly needs work. Moisture, mold, mildews and general housekeeping is a problem.”

• 3 pools, water slide, pool side bar , restaurant
• asked for extra towels on Monday, didn't get any Tues-Thurs

“This is a former Delta hotel. It has the standard delta pool with water slide. The gym is small but the equipment is good quality. There are 3 pools, 2 outside and one inside with hot tub. While some reviewers commented on carpet being pulled up in places on the 4th floor, the 5th floor was fine. The only thing I noticed was that the patio door was hard to open and the grouting in the tub was a little moldy or dirty . In general I liked the hotel”

• Hotel has awesom 225ft water slide.
• Hotel is a bit dated.

• 2 outdoor pools, waterslide small indoor pool, lot of amenities.
• Parking $7.50 day, TV internet was cumbersome.

“Good location, close to airport yet far enough to be quiet. Waterslide to small indoor pool. Two small outdoor pools with poolside food, beverage service. Nice size room. Ample services such as room service, pool side dining, restaurant, bar with pool table, convenience store, gymnasium and indoor tennis courts were also there.”
