• it was better than the reviews i read.
• getting to an airport shuttle took some time.

“overall, the hotel was better than i expected b/c some of the reviews i read made it seem worse than it was. overall, the staff was friendly and the room was clean. The shower curtain could have been changed tho. ;)”

• Very good location in heart of Taipei
• Very old hotel, did not feel safe, not close to MRT

“This hotel should not be ranked as a three star hotel. Stayed at the Ambassador (4*)also during this trip. Definitely noticed a larger difference in quality of location and service.”

• location & friendliness of staff
• furniture gets old - in one room; first booking was OK;

“Quality, staff, service, location was great for this price category. Only issue: in Taipei does not seem to be a hotel shuttle bus i.e. one bus company serves many hotels. In Hong Kong this was easier and most likely because there are more tourists in Hong Kong. However, the hotel had a simple solution available and was very supportive.”

• The room is small and air circulation is not good.

• Proximity to bus station.
• Cockroach in room.

“This is a decent tourist class hotel. The hotel is only about five bus stops from the main Taipei station (trains and subway), and the surrounding area is very quiet.”
