• Capacious, polite staff, clean, anything you could ask for.
• I never asked for a room at a non-smoking floor! Several rooms under renovation.

“Comparing this hotel to others in the same area it's definitely better. The rooms were very clean and with a lot of space, although the WC room was very small and separated from the bathroom. I found the staff very helpful and polite and many choices at the breakfast buffet. The only problem at breakfast room was the lack of tables for more than 4 persons and me and my family (5 persons) were often obliged to separate. The hotel is in a new building at an old district and that's very good for a hotel in Paris and it was very close to everything (in an area full of restaurants, shops etc.) with lots of people walking around at all times. I had a great time.”

• The rooms were better than I imagined and the service was superb.
• The hotel did not provide water boilers, which was very inconvenient.

“This hotel definitely exceeded my expectations. For the price and location, it cannot be beat. While the name may be foreign to US travelers, it is a very respected hotel in France. Definitely recommend it.”

• Close to the Moulin rouge.
• The decor and the staff.

“My expectations for this hotel were not met. The hotel is in the process of being remodeled. The floor was dark and hallway carpet was pulled up and all over the place. My room was apparently used for "storage" as it contained extra lamps, trash cans, bed linen, etc. I asked for another room, but the unfriendly staff would not accommodate my request. They did come and pick up all the extra stuff, but my experience was already ruined. I do not recommend this hotel at all.”

• The overall experience was great.
• The internet connection in the lobby was 10 euros for 45 minutes.

“It is in a great location, an easy walk to Moulin rouge, scare Coeur and the metro, a 20 minute walk to the opera, 25 minutes to the louver and 30 minutes to the left bank. The rooms are spacious with lovely views, the breakfast buffet is splendid and three is tons of great restaurants and shopping on the main boulevard.”

• Good location near Metro, great view from 8th floor.
• Totally chaotic.

“This hotel was a mess. Not dirty, but chaotic. I arrived for breakfast only to find a huge breakfast room with dirty dishes on every single table and no one cleaning them off. A multi-bus tour of Japanese occupied about half the tables, and acted like locusts whenever a new pot of coffee was brought or new croissants appeared. I finally got a table cleared, but the jostling by the Japanese was too much, and I asked the manager to take my name off the breakfast list. "I'm sorry," he said. "We had 250 Mexicans here yesterday!" Like this was my problem. I found a bakery for one-tenth the price and ate in my room. Similarly, trying to check out I found myself among hundreds of Chinese tourists who were overwhelming the staff. The hotel should either hire more staff or get a manager who knows how to deal with groups. I hope I never have to stay there again.”
