We are situated high on the hill just above Brynglas Tunnel on the M4, just off Junction 26. The Newport Lodge Hotel commands superb views of the lovely Gwent countryside and the panorama of Newport. Our location near to the main M4 junction for Cardiff, Cwmbran then on to the Valleys and the National Park means that we have the best location for both business and pleasure.[less]

Very friendly. Informal yet businesslike. Large rooms. Good dining area & menu.
Bed far too soft, simply could not sleep as bad for back. Breakfast too dry.

“Overall pleased and better than budget hotels but would not be able to stay again due to age or softness of the mattress.”

Very clean & well appointed room, friendly staff & an excellent breakfast.
It was a smoking room, road noise from motorway

“One of the best hotels I've stayed at for a while. the fact I got a smoking room may have been the fault of the person who booked the room on my behalf. Road noise a little intrusive, they need to triple glaze! but these are small points on a very well run establishment.”
