• Decor, facilities in room, cleanliness
• Room quite small.No breakfast included

“Enjoyed the hotel but only had one night!
CD players in rooms but no CDs - take some
Room facilities very good but did not use restaurant, bar or spa facility
Only criticism was room size was small for a double and there was no breakfast included with the room rate”

• Clean, good facilities, tasteful decor and central location.
• Breakfast not included and extortionate additional price

“Would have liked to have known whether breakfast was included, this was not made clear both on the Active Hotel or Malmaison web-site.”

• The positition of the hotel in relation to the centre of Manchester.
• The fact that you had to pay extra for breakfast which should be included.

“Went to Manchester to see Faithless at the Carling Apolo and the hotel was recommended by some friends.Had a great time the hotel is in a great position for the main shopping centre.The people of Manchester are great and will going back soon.The hotel is expensive just wish they included breakfast in the cost but we will stay there again.Previous reviews we read before going mentioned the staff as being rude etc,I can only say from our experiance they where very friendly and helpful.Loved Manchester.!!”

• I like the decor and atmosphere of the hotel.

“I have now stayed in the Malmaison in Glasgow and Manchester and really like the atmosphere, food and general decor of the hotels and would be happy to stay in any one of the other hotels in the chain in the future.”

• Stylish, modern reception area, bedrooms had a comfortable feel and a resonably priced mini-bar
• Poor room lighting specifically at mirrors.

“Modern hotel with a warm sumptious welcome, good accomodation and a central location, close to Picadilly train Station and the main shopping areas.”

• politeness & attentiveness of staff
• Food in brassiere very dissapointing, had to return

“Very relaxing atmosphere and friendly, yet professional staff only too willing to help. Contemporary and inviting with a young feel to it. Rooms small but adequate and the smellies in the bathroom were delightful. The only let down, in our opinion, was the food in the brassiere. Perhaps the chef was having a bad night!”
