• Beautiful room. Great location.
• Internet service far too expensive, daily charge 3X what it should be plus outrageous usage charge on top.

“The hotel is in an excellent location, near the Rathouse and the expensive shopping districts. The area immediately around the hotel has few restaurants or other activities after dark, and was very quiet on Sunday and a holiday. The rooms are adequately sized, and nicely appointed. The bath is great, but the window between the bath and the room, which I could not figure out how to shade. We did not use the bar or restaurant; we prefer to use local establishments outside the hotel when we can. Overall I would recommend the hotel for business travelers; it is a little stark for someone looking for a romantic visit.”

• New, trendy, modern, clean, friendly staff, quiet rooms, nice bar.
• Carpets are a little worn in some areas.

“The during sofitel am alten wall is a great designer hotel, located in the city center of Hamburg, so everything is close, five minutes by taxi to the amusement and theaters of st. Pauli 10 minutes walk from the hauptbahnhof (main railway station). staff very friendly, young and professional. the rooms are very nice decorated and reflect the modern style of the hotel. I'd recommend this hotel without hesitation - it deserve it's 5 star rating”
