This hotel was originally built in the 18th Century as home for the landlord of the region. In 1995 the property was totally renovated and converted into a hotel. The new owner along with the City Council take care of the property in order to maintain its original columns and natural building materials such as cantera rock, granite, woood and molded iron handrails. The hotel is considered a jewel of colonial architecture in historic downtown Guadalajara.
