  • Brilliant location with valet parking.
  • A bit corporate and shabby in places.

“Looking at the reviews on other sites this hotel can obviously be a bit hit and miss. However, it was definitely a hit for us! The good points:

Booked through the Internet and got a cheaper rate but still had a very good room.

Spoke to the hotel twice before arrival and the reservations team were very helpful and friendly (even though I booked through the Internet).

On arrival we were able to check in early as they had a room already made up.

The valet parking service at A#15 per day was excellent.

The hotel location was superb, right in the center near all the attractions and shopping.

The room had a lovely view and good bathroom with a bed that was exceptionally comfortable.

I wasn't feeling well and so we ordered dinner by room service. The food was excellent and came promptly. A side order was missing but one quick phone call solved the problem. Very good prices for room service too.

I tried to store Champagne (not bought at the hotel!)in the mini bar for cooling and knocked over all the 'touch sensitive' merchandise. Again, one quick phone call solved the problem and the items were removed from our bill.

The reception staff were friendly and helpful, giving me directions, locations and even lending me some scissors. The Concierge was equally friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was busy but lots of choice and they do warn you that you are better to go early if possible. We went at 9.30am and it was fine, plenty to choose from and food was good.

We were warned to check out early to avoid the queues but even at 10.30am we didn't find any queues and the reception staff were helpful, polite and efficient.

The bad points:

As with all 'corporate' four stars, the hotel isn't wildly romantic but the location really makes up for that.

Again, like a lot of heavily used corporate four stars the decor was a little bit shabby in places but nothing too bad.

There wasn't an iron in the room (although there was a trouser press).

Overall the positives at this hotel far outweighed the very minor negatives from our perspective and we would definitely stay there again.
