“When I attempted to check-in i was told that I did not have a booking, despite having a booking refrence number, I felt that the way this problem was handled by the check-in clerk made me feel un-welcome, the pool area and gym were well equipt and had friendly staff as did the main restaurant, I understand that the hotel was in a period of renovation but this did not seem to hinder our stay and was not that noticable although we were not warned of this at the time of booking.
Food in the restaurant was very good but a bit over priced.
The directions to the hotel were excellent.
I hope the physical improvements to the hotel go hand in hand with improvements in booking and greeting of customers at the front desk.”

“Considering the hotel had been updated, our bathroom needed renewing as there were cracks in the handbasin and the door had seen better days.We have stayed in other hotels in the area, and this was one we wouldn't be returning too.”

“Refurbishment affected stay even though I appreciate these things need doing. I chose hotel because of leisure facilities which were very limited. No warning on the website I used to book. When work is completed I will book again though.”

“There was an initial query over our internet booking,but this was solved prior to our arrival.It was only overnight stay, hotel was adequate for our requirements.Disappointed to find charge for transport to airport, as on booking via internet no charge was noted.However this was a prompt and quick service.
Some confusion also on checking out,the group being charged full price for breakfast despite having purchased discounted tickets,this was eventually sorted out,but did distress some members of the party as the bus arrived for the airport transfer and an element of panic began to set in! Bus service to airport efficent and arrived at airport within 10 mins!great!”

“This hotel was very poor. I had to wait 15 minutes for service at the bar - the only member of staff was away getting food for that time. At dinner my Caesar salad was served with old lettuce and the waiter, having been asked for a fresh orange and lemonade still brought a lemonade. The remote control in my room was out of batteries and the Pay TV movie was of very poor (VHS) quality, and interrupted during the opening part by a request for a room number thereby missing some of the film. I also had to ask a waitress not to provide staff training within earshot as she spoiled our meal by talking about upselling to the customer (Make sure you offer drinks and extras to get the customer to buy more... it's called upselling.) Generally speaking I found this supposed 4 star hotel to be more like a boarding house, and would not recommend it.”

“Overall The stay was a real success it was in the exact location I needed and was a really nice Hotel.
The Staff that dealt with myself were exceptional polite, helpfull and very accomodating.
The purpose of my trip was for an Interview that I had the following day my mother also came with me and the hotel were good enough to let her stay in the room until my interview had finished as it was an all day event - I felt this was excellent customer service!
All the facilities were availiable as had been stated in the reservation details.
I had one very minor problem with the lift where it had a mind of it's own and the ground level button was not working correctly so i ended up going up and down a couple of times this was slightly frustrating at the time as I could not go down but I was able to resolve the problem after a couple of attempts.
As I previously stated I found the lighting in the main part of the room slightly dull it could do with a brighter light over the mirror.”

“The hotel is a good base for overnight stays before and after using Gatwick Airport. The facilities are good and the staff are friendly even if not all are familar with UK terminology (the waiter in the restaurant did not know the difference between lager and bitter for instance). The food is good and the bedrooms while compact are comfortable.”

“Encontre la habitaci'n demasiado peque'a y demasiado fria. Los pasillos muy largos hasta llegar a la habitaci'n , y adem'no muy limpios, sobretodo, los del m'interior. El bar, mal servidos. En el restaurante nos dijeron que tenian reservas y no nos dieron ninguna mesa, pero la realidad era que si hab' mesas, y comprobamos que nunca se llenaron.”
