  • None.
  • The front desk attitude.

“When we got to the hotel, they placed us on a dirty room with a full bed and a pull down bed. After a discussion on the front desk, they placed us to another room with a king size bed and a small couch size mattress and the supervisor exclaimed that they have nothing else for the next days and either take it or find other place. The situation was very uncomfortable for my wife, children as well as me.”

  • The staff was friendly.
  • The food was disappointing.

“Our stay was nice. The hotel looked a little outdated but it was worth the money. The staff was super friendly but the food was a disappointment. We were expecting to have some "authentic" Mexican food, which we did not and the food didnt taste fresh. But it was edible. The shows were entertaining. Overall, we enjoyed our stay on the most part which was probably because most of the hotels there are on the beach which was only a few steps down from the resort. This resort is a nice place for families to go and relax at.”

  • Grate staff and really nice resort. Great for families and couples.
  • Not for singles, seniors, and food was average.

“This was an amazing resort. The staff was very nice and the entertainers were great. This is more of a family vacation spot and great for Couples.”

  • Breathtaking views and very accomodating.
  • Staff offered too many "promotions" that I felt pressured to hear out.

“The hotel itself is beautiful...we upgraded to a room with a jacuzzi on the balcony, overlooking the ocean. It was just like the picture for the advertisment, or a postcard! Beautiful! The room is adequete-- Not too small, not too big. There is an area of the pool where you can be 'involved' in the activities that they have daily going on, such as water aerobics, water polo, water volleyball, etc. Then there is also a pool area where you can relax and not be involved in any of that. I like the whole resort feel of the hotel, it is all within close proximities of everything. (snack hut, swim-up bar, restaurants, bathrooms, etc.) I was not overly impressed with the evening activites...they were OK. The food was also OK... I was actually looking to eat a little more ethnic. :) Some good chips and salsa, or some tacos, tomales or tortas, or something...it was a lot of seafood, and some mixed americanized food--- don't get me wrong, there was SOME mexcian food- but i would have liked more.

I did not like the fact that we were pressured to hear out the promotions they had going on...to try out the coupon they had available, and we were told that they work on commision, so if we did not book it- they did not get paid. I felt a lot of pressure that I did not want on my vacation. Although the staff was constantly working day and night to keep the place looking immaculate.

It was not far from the airport, which was nice...only about 10 minutes or so. It was not far from any shopping either. The 'Plaza La Isla' was awesome...it's an outdoor mall with a River running through it that you can take a river ride. It has a cool restaurant/bar called 'Interactive Aquarium' that you can sit in a booth overlooking a dolphin show, you can swim with the dolphins there and you can also go down in a glass cage to be in the water with the sharks too. It's a very neat place. You don't get those kind of places out here. :) 'La Plaza Fiesta' is a HUGE store that has just about EVERYTHING you could want to buy for your friends and family. (gifts)

We also did the ATV Tour at the ranch. That was AWESOME! You ride through the jungle, and along the beach which was sooooo much fun. Be prepared to get a little dirty, but it's worth it! And wear shoes..not sandals!! I could have done that all day! So fun. We also had about a 25 minute break 1/2 way through to cool off in the ocean, have a snack and a drink, and snorkel off the beach if you wanted too. They also had horseback riding there, where you can actually go into the ocean ON your horse! Very neat! Again--not something you can do around here! :)

Our representative also surprised us with a bottle of champaign in our room on the night of our Anniversary--that was very nice! (Thanks Lillian!)

I would recommend the GR Solaris...it was a very enjoyable stay. And kids are welcome...they stay for free. ”

  • It's new. Small so there is a good atmosphere everywhere. Clean and the staff really works !! A very nice price!
  • A little bit far from all the fun areas.

“I had a great time. The staff is working day and night to make your stay really comfortable and fun, the size is ok, you don't have to walk too much to get to the different areas, nice gym, and the food is good, not great but it's OK for an all inclusive hotel. The rooms are very standard and all of them have view to the ocean or to the lagoon and a golf course. I do recommend it.”
