• Nothing.
• Everything from location, room, and staff, nothing was suitable for a "three star" hotel. Elevators were difficult to get to and hardly ever were free.

“Upon arrival, one young man told me to watch my bags but did not offer to lend hand although we have one infant and another small child.”

• Location.
• Certain staff members were extremely un-helpful, continental breakfast was expensive.

“Had a few occurrences with staff (not all staff) at the front desk in them being very unwilling to help or acted like they were being bothered. I found breakfast to be expensive for just coffee and Danishes.”

• Rooms were very clean and modern and staff was helpful, friendly, and efficient.
• Location seemed somewhat unsafe at night (prostitutes and drug dealers), walls were a bit thin.

“My wife and I spent six nights at the Hotel Principal recently and were very pleased with our stay. The location is very convenient to La Ramble and the sights of El Raval and the Barry Gothic, not to mention just a couple blocks from the Liceu metro station. The hotel staff were very friendly, helpful, and multilingual. The rooms were modern and clean, featuring a flat screen TV and artwork.”
