• Great location.
• Hotel staff was not very knowledgeable about the surrounding area.

“This hotel is in a great location. The rooms were nice and clean although they are a bit small as you would expect in Europe. There is not really any lobby or public space as you enter the hotel. The staff was friendly and spoke English well; however, they were not very helpful with planning entertainment as they didn't know the surrounding area very well. Not very helpful for dinner recommendations.”

• Central and reasonably priced and with wheelchair access.
• Single room very small, especialy for wheelchair user. Television, in double room too quiet.
  Double glazing would have made the room more quiet, although it was less noisy than I expected.

“The hotel is very good value for money, considering it's position and wheel chair accessability.Very helpfull staff.”

• The hotel had a fantastic location, was clean, staff were very helpful and overall experience was excellent. Will definitely be staying here when we come back to Barcelona.
• Didnt have a dedicated reception (reception is at the back of a camera shop) which was something new to us. Doesnt need one though so not really a concern.

“For the dollar, this is an excellent hotel. Being at the top of the Ramblas right by Plaza Cataluna it does get noisy but hey, its barcelona. If you want peace and quiet, go to Deia :) We found the noise died down after 10pm however and I'm a light sleep”

• Clean and central
• Bath too small,only one english channel on the tv and that was all sport!!

“Overall,i liked the hotel.The reception staff on the whole were friendly and helpful.The hotel is ideally situated for those wishing to be where it's happening.This was a bonus for us but i can see that it would be too noisy for others.Take earplugs with you if you're a light sleeper!!!!!”

• The hotel was very clean and the staff where very pleasant and more than helpfull.

“I was very happy with the location of the hotel and everyone there could not do enough to make the stay enjoyable.
Will go back here and would say to anyone that this would be a very pleasant place to stay with no problems at all.
The only thing was that I would have liked to have had a room at the front of the hotel to be able to take in the view.
Maybe next time!”

• it is great. convenient location which is close to public transportation.the room is tidy and clean. the receptionist is very professional.
• it seems that there is no tea or coffee cooking facilities inside the room

• The location was fantastic!
• Would have liked tea and coffe making facilities in the room.

“Room was spacious, clean and tidy. Bathroom was very basic and a little old but clean.

So good to step out of the hotel and be in one of the cities main squares. I would stay at this hotel again for it's convenience and price.”

• Very Central and easy to get to other parts of the city. Only 10 meters from catalunya metro station.
• Very loud at the front of the hotel due to traffic, but knew this before and took my trusty ear plugs. Still didn't sleep fantastically though. Great views though of Plaza and Ramblas.

“I wish they would have told me it was on the corner of Ramblas and Pelayo, and that it was so close to the Catalunya metro. It would ahve made the intial finding of it far easier.”

• Excellent location -- our room overlooked both Las Ramblas and the Placa Catalunya. The room was a free upgrade. Very friendly staff and very clean rooms.
• Some folks may complain abt the noise. Certainly was not a problem with us. I wish they would provide breakfast as part of the tariff rather than charge extra.

“This was an excellent choice of hotel and if werent for the dipping dollar, it would have been fantastic value for money too. The location is unbeatable, overlooking the Ramblas and Placa Catalunya and right on the public transport lines. The tourist buses too start from right outside the hotel.

The only downside was the lack of breakfast as part of the tariff.”

• The location was good, the staff friendly and the rooms clean.

“The location is good, the staff are friendly and the rooms clean. I had read on the internet that a room with a balcony is preferable to one with an inside window, and when I emailed my booking I requested a balcony room. Even though they had no single rooms with a balcony, they were kind enough to upgrade me to a twin room with a balcony.
