• The location, the staff and the atmosphere are really cool, it's hard to describe unless you see it. EXCELLENT.
• The only negative is the short walk to center of Grindelwald. This isn't a negative for everyone.

“The Belvedere is a super hotel full of life, charm and warmth. The location, a short walk at just the edge of town offers guests easy access to Grindelwald's amenities such as restaurants and shopping as well as a secluded hotel away from the hustle. The rooms are spacious and the views are really breathtaking. Even the rooms with the worst views have stunning views. The bar is always well stocked and the wait staff is enjoyably engaging. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is relaxed. The meeting and banquet facilities are very good but not huge. The town of Grindelwald is like a story book place, as are the surrounding villages with huge panoramic views of the majestic Alps. Perhaps the best shot of the Eiger is from the terrace right at the Belvedere. The terrace may be the coolest place in the hotel, or the town for that matter. There is no better place to sit, have a cocktail and enjoy the awesomeness of the Eiger. A hike through the mountains is also a favorite past time. For the business traveler or the person who just needs to stay in touch, the hotel has every conceivable modern communication device. It's truly your choice to stay in touch or not. For the hiker, the mountains in the spring time offer beautiful hiking trails full of literally hundreds of types of flowers. For the cyclist there are no better roads to ride. In the winter the skiing and snow boarding are fantastic. There is something outside to do all the time and when finished there is no place better than the Belvedere to dine and relax. Finally, when you stay at the Belvedere Hotel you come away with the feeling that you have had a great bargain and that your business was greatly appreciated by the owners, Your's and Silvia Hauser. The overall experience is A+.”
