  • One of the best hotels in the area internally.
  • Depressing downtown area.

“This hotel has been under renovation, and they really are doing a good job. The new rooms are in excellent shape, and are well appointed and respectful. The staff is top notch. The restaurant is a little too empty for my liking, like it hasn't been noticed, but the food is very good as is the service. I have stayed there 3 times in recent months and things keep getting better. They knocked me off my feet the first time, when I came back to find my toiletries carefully arranged on decoratively folded towels. There is a small business center as well. I don't really like downtown Kitchener, seems like they are always blocking off one road or another, and the area seems very depressed. Some of the shops are strange depressing little owner run shops that keep odd hours and have very odd merchandize, and there are lots of seemingly displaced people hanging around.”

“Location of hotel was great within walking distance to many downtown areas including the Farmer's Market. Hotel restaurant was reasonable and the food was very good. A very pleasant stay!!”

“It was very nice but a lot of kids making noise in the hall.”

“The hotel was much shabbier than I expected. A broken bathroom door, damaged/broken tiles, dirty hallway carpet. I stayed at this hotel many times several years ago and it has really dropped in standards.”
