“Front desk did not explain or give instruction on how things work in the room. For example how you need to insert room card to turn lights on.”

“Without a doubt the worst hotel experience in a major hotel chain I have ever experienced. No wash cloth or hand towels in my room, only one very small bottle of water in the room ' this is Mexico, you cant drink the water, no pencil/pen or paper, broken refrigerator, filthy iron, broken furniture phone didn't work properly alarm went off at 6 a.m. maid didn't turn it off, no ice bucket, broken coffee maker. Fowled up room service (two hour wait ' order messed up). Staff unwilling to resolve issues. Blasting music at midnight from hotel party staff unwilling to shut it down.”

“The experience of Tijuana as a cultural spot exceeded my expectations. The Hotel looks neat from the outside, the driveway looks modern and clean, but the inside needs a lot of attention. The room just average, the edges of the carpet haven't seen a vacuum cleaner in a long time (room 621), particularly dirty and filthy behind the bed and cupboards. The lobby does not look minimalist but rather cheap and low budget. I chose Marriott to assure high American standards, but unfortunately found a lot of sloppiness that could be easily been rectified if more attention was given to details. The view of the hotel room was not spectacular, there was this ugly block in front, impeding the view on the mountains. The staff very friendly and helpful. However, at the checkout, I believed to have paid for the room in advance with the reservation but had to learn that it was not the case, the contrary to the procedure. Particular of value was the Night Lounge with Marvin, a great musician and entertainer, absolutely a must. He performs with so much passion and dedication, is so accommodating, talks to guests, and shakes hands and chats. But the price I paid did not justify the facility and I will avoid it in the future. 3 stars are too highly rated in my opinion.”

“Hotel was extremely beautiful. Rooms were lovely, balcony, view. I want to stay there again. Excellent, and inexpensive. A bit far from the shopping we do, but close to excellent restaurants. The woman checking us in was inexperienced and timid, the only bad part of the experience.”
