• Large room, bathroom, good view (of the Castle).
• No body lotion among amenities.

“My husband, 17 month old baby and I just spend 3 days at the Cypress. With the baby stroller, 2 carry-ons and a luggage, it's quite a walk from the Nagoya station.

For some reason, don't expect people know what "the Sofitel" is(even if you could communicate in Japanese and ask for the HOTERU SOFITERU). We asked 3 local Japanese and no one knew I was talking about. We finally got an answer from the tourist info desk located inside the Nagoya Station(the center of the city, I guess).

With the baby we were upgraded to a deluxe room on the 11th/top floor(thank you, son). They also placed a very nice baby-cot in our room before our arrival. The double bed however was already big enough for the three of us; it's a true extra large double bed, and the room and the bed are the most roomy and comfortable I've experienced in Japan.

My husband, who's 6-2, could for the first time stand up straight in the shower. It's a large full size tub, also the largest I've experienced in Japan.

Bathroom amenities are L'Occitaine. One warning though, no lotion was provided, and the A/C made the room extremely dry. So make sure you're stocked up on moisturizer before you go.

Overall, we were all very happy with this hotel. It's also located directly across from the BBQ meat restaurant, a good and affordable choice where you place your orders directly on a touch-screen stylo.
