A favourite haunt for guests of this hotel is the candlelit, Oak beamed Coachmans Bar, where a log fire crackles in a centuries old fireplace. In fine weather, guests make for the Courtyard Patio, with its tables perched on ancient cobblestones. The lounge features atmospheric frescoes depicting historical scenes with, a rare oddity this, a sundial believed to reflect from the pond in the garden to tell the time.
